I know PC will always look alot better than the current consoles, and you always see PC only people bragging about it, how there's a world of difference. But i'm not gonna lie, it certainly doesn't look worlds better in these two shots compared to how i have Skyrim on my 360 on my plasma. It looks more high resolution of course, but not like it's 'OMFG' what a difference. Probably need to see videos for that.

This is on HIGH. Not ULTRA.

That is, that's not the best you can see.

Obviously this isn't a straight comparison with the consoles but I'd argue theres not a whole lot of difference. Further draw, smoother edges, AF, about it. Need to see exact comparisons though to really tell.

The PC graphics are okay i guess but i expected more. Maybe some *.ini files tweaking is in order (and better texture mods!)

yea wouldnt worry about it. Those shots are just showing a completly empty scene, no mobs fighting or anything. PC graphics are good, but they still often have to reduce the quality when the combat scenes get very busy. So id imagine console version is just more... consistently smooth, at the sacrifice of ultra sharp graphics.

Is it just me or do those trees look a lot more dense?

Maybe it's because it's a screenshot, but the trees look a bit crappy.

And what's with the draw distance? Those trees on the left side in the first screen hardly have any decent texture at all. And don't tell me they are too far away.

I don't expect any godlike graphics, but I think being a bit critical never hurt anyone.

As good as the visuals are in the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim, there are a few drawbacks. Even with the game installed, load times are lengthy and frequent. Every time you fast travel, every time you enter a building or town with a door, you'll need to sit through a load. You'll also experience framerate drops depending on how much happens to be onscreen. The PC crowd should be happy to hear that, assuming you've got a powerful machine, The Elder Scrolls V looks far and away the best. The draw distance can be pushed way back, letting you see clear across enormous spaces, and you benefit from a higher visual quality throughout, as well as dramatically shortened load times, to the point where they barely exist at all.

I honestly doubt there will be a big difference between high and ultra.

The sword is the best part. It looks simple and brutal. Skyrimmish, if you will.

TBH, a real sword at that distance from my eyes doesn't look too great either. But the reflections you'd see in it seem to be beyond the capabilities of current games...

I think he's talking about the textures on it.

"It doesn't look like much of a difference"

These people need to use their brains. You cannot see the differences through a screenshot and/or video.

All you're looking at are texture resolution.
What about:
-60 frames per second instead of 30?
-No jagged lines?
-Fast loading times?
-View distance?

Not to mention the console version is the PC version on lowest settings.

You reek of PC Elitist. Also, you definitely can tell the difference through a screen or video. Think before you tell other people to use their brains.

I like the sword. I like how it has the dents and dings in from being forged. I've only got two swords like that(a kukri and a 300 Spartan-looking sword) but those dents and dings add a great amount of character to the sword, real or virtual.

As has always been for any PC game. The talk was going into the release that the PC graphics were going to be considerably better than the consoles. I'm truly not seeing it.

Just hope that it doesn't have some form of the texture bug the 360 has.

I honestly think it looks fine. Some textures could be better, though. And it's definitely not " melt my face " material. Nor do I think this is actually an in game screenshot: http://cdnstatic.gamesas.com/akqacms/files/tes/screenshots/CompositeMountain_wLegal.jpg
