Seriously, about the region lock, there is no hope?

AGAIN - LANGUAGE DOES NOT MATTER. Did you download it from the Chile marketplace? Then of course it worked. If you're purposely connecting to the American Marketplace, downloading DLC, and then expecting it to work on your Chile disc, you're a fool. PSN is the same. None of this is new. The fact that you were dumb enough to do it makes me chortle a little, though.
But i use a Chilean account for xbox live, so what? with other games i had no problems, but of course i have a problem with this in particular, i wonder why
And i still think you are an idiot

That's why everyone needs to live in the USA. If you live anywhere else, you get [censored] versions of things that don't work, sound funny, and might not even be delivered to you because nobody at Bethesda, Valve, or any other publisher is smart enough to figure out the region locking laws.

Go figure.

By all rights, the English version should be available everywhere right now. The fact that it isn't is probably just idiocy on the part of someone that isn't a lawyer but should be.

Surely there is no way to connect to a marketplace outside of your region? Sounds to me like theres been a hiccup, and the silence from staff is that they currently don't have an answer. Give them some time and I'm sure they will provide an answer when they have one OP.

I have one American account, and one native for my country.

The American one can download Dawnguard just fine, but my credits are all in my native account :T

Buy it as a gift for yourself. Can't you do that? Pay for it with your Br account and "gift" it for the Us account that can download and install it? No?

Don't blame Bethesda, blame your government. The minister of trade sets these rules and they are pretty much the same everywhere across the globe.

If you have a disc from Chile and you connect to the AMERICAN Marketplace and download AMERICAN DLC, it will not work. It never has and it never will. It has nothing to do with having an English or Spanish version. If your disc is from Region X then DLC from Region Y will not work on it. Derp.

Wow, not even concerning to the topic itself, but how ignorant and naive could someone be?

The sad thing for this idiot is that somebody confirmed he could download dawnguard using a US xbox live account here on south america, which means this is a Bethesda thing... seriously, these ignorants just... :(

EDITED: I correct myself, not from south america but from other area, which is the same, why should be different here on south america? :(

Corporate fail.

This is why the world needs lawyers. Everyone should be a lawyer. We need to make law school mandatory. Clueless marketing director is clueless.

Uh. Wat?

I agree with English being a standard for everyone who wants to play. DLC shouldn't be locked due to language barrier, but you can blame pirates for that. Travelling in China was the most horrid thing for a gamer. Street stalls selling "The Great Older Books Version V: Skydream"? That's why you wait.

But saying everyone should live in the US? Uh, no. You should probably re-write that to say North America.

Canada gets English DLC that works JUST fine. If you live in Quebec, you get English and French. ALSO WORKS JUST FINE.

Also, translation requires $$$ and time, not to mention a team of devs who are multi-lingual. If you have a problem with the system, apply to Bethesda as a translator or PR representative for Brazil.

But that's the problem, some countries like Brazil don't even have translations, at all.
It's the vanilla English version for everyone. Even the boxing is in English :V
So there's no such thing as "translating takes time and money" because there's never been any translation to begin with,at all.
I don't see why we can't be allowed to download the English version D:
