[Xbox360] Skyrim Bug Instalation Textures

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 1:00 pm

Curious, how long did the low texture last, did it go away eventually or is it stuck until you do something.

Interesting, do you suspect it's a texture streaming delay?

Textures with the installation remains that way indefinitely.
However, with the disc no problem with textures.

I hope I have answered, I am not very good in English.

No I'm just curious how long the low texture lasts, if it goes away in a couple of seconds, minutes or stays until you do something. I've been seeing all the photos but no account on how long the texture lasts if it goes away at all.

Edited- Oh boy, well if it doesn't cause any other issues then bad looking textures then it's not a problem for me. Have you tried clearing your cache, I've heard others who tried that but don't know if it worked or not.

I smell a troll. I thought this 'glitch' was disproved already.
not a troll
and it hasnt been disproven unless you count pete hines saying the vague 'it works fine' line
but if you believe everything that guy says, youre an idiot
plenty of pics and reports on this problem, so yeah...

to op:
hope it gets fixed in a later patch, though itl probably be a while if it wasnt in the fist patch
hope it CAN be fixed :sadvaultboy:

Bethesda knows of the problem and will surely patch it as fast as they can ;) Just play of the disk until the new patch is released :) And btw, the game in the photo from the disk is amazing! it looks better than I had hoped :D

I've seen two devs in this topic and the other one so they probably do know about it. They aren't saying anything because they don't have a patch for it and want to get as many people as possible to get the game. They will fix it, only not friday although I could be wrong.

Just out of curiosity, are people who are experiencing this issue using Old Xbox360's or the new Slims?

That is also a good question I've been wondering about. I don't see how that could be the reason for the issues but it is possible.

It appears to be an easily discoverd issue - why didn't they fix it before? No one loaded the game onto the HDD? Is it caused by the new XBox OS update? (I just plugged my Xbox into the net, and it seemed to do about 4 updates and now the OS looks..... diferent  )

THIS IS PROBABLY A PIRATED COPY ANYWAY! AND PETE HINES CONFIRMED THIS WASN'T A ISSUE.

Nobody is taking you seriously or even taking anything you say with any measure of seriousness. Please, go away.

On topic, CCNA, one of the mods here, said he contacted Gstaff and some Devs about the possibility of the issue. All we can really do is wait for some kind of official word from the Devs. I know Pete tweeted something but it wasn't very specific to the actual possibility of the issue.

It very well could be, especially if it is related to the Hard Drive. The Slim and Old 360 use much different HDD's.

While not indicative, it's probably worth mentioning I had tons of texture problems on New Vegas before I... Involuntarily switched... to the slim (Launch Day 360 finally died). It was probably just the console's death throes though.

I don't remember having Texture problems from New Vegas and I have the older 360 but then again it was Gamebryo so freaky things were suppose to be expected.

New Xbox S HDD 250G
A newer one then, if I have the issue and I have an older white pro xbox then it will be universal for all the 360's.

Could you do us a favor and tell us which Xbox 360 you are experiencing the problem on? Is it an older model or the new Slim 360?

Thanks for the info.

Edit: ninja'd, thanks!

I see that you have already responded, saying Slim with 250 GB.

Hulky, although not officially confirmed, this is a repeatedly observed phenomenom. So yes, we are all aware. Only time will tell if the 1.1 patch will fix it. Since there is already a thread on this (please use search first Hulky!) this will probably be eventually locked.

However, there are two reported work-arounds. The first, and easiest, is to clear you cache on your HDD. When you launch from your HDD, you'll be prompted to re-download the 1.1 patch. Multiple sources are reporting that hi-res hand and weapon textures will then load even if you are running off the HDD.

The second work around involves installing the game on a USB memory stick. Multiple sources report that hi-res hand and weapon textures will always load from a memory stick, and that the load speeds are very fast. However, you must own and dedicate a stick with enough memory.

Please report back if you try any of these work arounds whether you find any success.

Happy Skyrim!
