My preference is for a version that works through SKSE.

Things are a bit hectic here, but I started with ianpatts code to port the Delphi code over to C. If anybody else is doing it, let me know, might only get to it this weekend again (or if it should not be done). I will shout for the new Delphi code when last posted is ported.

Anyhow, just thought to put this out here in case there is dual work or other plans.

The current source code is always at the end of the original post in this thread ;)

Hello, thanks for the plugin! I love it, currently using it for extra perks at certain levels and slower leveling on some skill. One thing I would like to see added though is the ability to edit the XP to level and the rate of which it goes up, kind of like XSO, or GSC.

You can already modify the rate at which a chosen skill goes up by tweaking the [SkillExpGainMults] section in SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini.
(Experience Rate can also be influenced by modifying Skyrim global settings with the Creation Kit.)

Is there no global slow down of skill progression or do I have to set each skill?

Then to slow down 3x what do I set them to ... 3? The wording makes it seem a fraction is needed.

You have to set each skill. And yes you have to use fraction to slow a skill progression. For 3x less experience, you have to use something like 0.3333 in the settings.

I have a question about this mods ini. I don't want certain skills like lockpicking, etc. to contribute towards my level progress but I do want those skills to advance at a normal pace. If I understand correctly modifying [SkillExpGainMults] in the ini affects both the level progression for the skill as well as any level progression towards the characters level. I use this along with GSC http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6469 which effectively does this for most of my non combat skills except lockpicking, pickpocketing and speechcraft.

[SkillExpGainMults] only affects the skill experience.

Any skill experience you receive ( excepted from Skill Books and Trainers) is multiplied by the associated skill multiplier inside the INI.

However since leveling a skill also counts toward leveling the Player, the faster the player level up skills experience, the faster the player level up. The Uncapper does not modify that behavior.

Is the Uncapper going to modify the skill to level ratio in the future?

Damn update, can't play Skyrim until a new Uncapper version is out.

Well, technically, I can... but I don't wanna. I'll wait :3

Does the beta patch version work with the official patch? It should, as I don't think the beta patch changed at all from now until release, but then I haven't delved that deeply into the code, either.

The beta patch should work if it supported 1.4.27 - there wasn't a change in the binary. SKSE 1.4.13 which was created for 1.4.27 while in beta is working fine with 1.4.27 in the official release mod.

Hopefully it can get updated soon.

If that is true then all it needs is the version check updated (it disables itself if it's not version 1.4.26) so a simple update

1.4.26 was different from 1.4.27. If it wasn't updated for the the 1.4.27 beta it will still need to be updated. However, there weren't huge changes in the two builds so it should be a fairly simple update. I haven't looked at the code to know how extensive the changes might be.

Ah ok, I didn't realize there were two beta patches.

I'll hold off on playing Skyrim until this is updated then. :)

I've just updated Skyrim to 1.4.27. So the new version is on its way to be released in the next hours if nothing goes wrong.
