[REL]Skyrim -Community- Uncapper (Previously -Elys-) Thread

Post » Sun May 27, 2012 6:15 pm

Best mod for Oblivion and now for Skyrim. I can't say enough good things about this mod. It is a must a have mod.

That said, I wonder if you could add a tiny feature that would remove the cap on training per level. Yeah, yeah, at the beginning it's a bit of a cheat, but after level 35 or so it becomes essential and it's only going to get worse the higher I go . . .

Or is it already in the mod?

Thanks for bringing this to Skyrim.

There is not need of the Uncapper for that. It can be done directly with the Creation Kit by changing the the value of GameSettings :iTrainingNumAllowedPerLevel

New Uncapper version 1.6.0.1 (not for Skyrim 1.5.26 beta):
- Now float values can be used for the [PerksPerLevelAndAbove] section.

So you can for example set to get 1.5 perk points per level up.

A new Alpha version 1.7 is available for testing. (Only for Skyrim 1.5.24)

This new version replaces the global iSkillEffectFormulasCap setting with an independent setting for each skills. This is done inside the new [SkillFormulaCaps] section.

Spoiler
[SkillFormulaCaps]; (This new section replaces the old global iSkillEffectFormulasCap setting used in previous version of the Uncapper); Set the Skill FormulaCap to; Not all game formulas are affected by these caps, and formulas that have no skill cap in the first place won't be affected as well.; Between 0 and 10000;; Using too low or too high values may crash the game. Handle them with caution.; Default game value = http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1342084-relskyrim-community-uncapper-previously-elys-thread-2/100iAlchemy=400iAlteration=400iArchery=400iBlock=400iConjuration=400iDestruction=400iEnchanting=400iHeavyArmor=400iIllusion=400iLightArmor=400iLockpicking=400iOneHanded=400iPickpocket=400iRestoration=400iSmithing=400iSneak=400iSpeech=400iTwoHanded=400

Even if you don't tweak the settings, you're welcome to try this new version to report if it work as usual for you.

Note: The old INI is only partially compatible with the new one, so if you use personal INI settings, you will have to use and tweak the new INI to match them.

No, you're thinking about the [SkillCaps] section which is still identical. This is a new [SkillFormulaCaps] section replacing the line "iSkillEffectFormulasCap=400" existing in the previous Uncapper version

I think 1.5.26 is finally officially released now. There was a steam news post about it. Looking forward to the update for this. :)

Fiddlesticks. Looks like I'm going to have to wait for this to update before I can play again. Oh well. I look forward to an update soon.

Hello Elys,

First I want to thank you for your great work.

Second I inadvertently upped to 1.5.26 and wanted to know if a fix was coming soon....
I killed auto update on steam but too late for this one...:(

New Uncapper version 1.7.1:
- Updated to Skyrim 1.5.26

This new version replaces the global iSkillEffectFormulasCap setting with an independent setting for each skills. This is done inside the new [SkillFormulaCaps] section.

The old INI is only partially compatible with the new one, so if you use personal INI settings, you will have to use and tweak the new INI to match them.

Open SKSE_Elys_Uncapper.ini with a text editor such as Notepad and you can tweak various settings, including the caps.

Like most every one else, I appreciate all the work you've put into this, Elys.

Question: (I don't have correct terminology, I'm sure) Will you be creating commands to register with SKSE so we can manipulate uncapper settings via script?

I don't know. Also maybe someone else will have taken over the project by then.

Thanks for keeping this updated Elys its a great mod that really enhances the game. I was wondering though if anyone has the last version for Skyrim 1.5.24 as I have not updated since Script Dragon is not updated and like a moron I updated this without thinking when I saw a new version was available. If anyone has the zip for the last one I would really appreciate getting a copy, thanks.

Thank you!!! It svcks being a slave to some of these mods sometimes, but uncapper and some of the script dragon ones are must haves for me. Thanks again!
