Skyrim just blew my PS3 out

Post » Fri May 18, 2012 6:06 pm

Pointless to try really since it's competely stupid.

Just like a broken pc or car or dish washer..

Stuff happens.

Millions of copies of skyrim are being played right now and a tiny little percent happened to fail now.

Brilliant.

Visit the other game forums and see what other games broke the ps3.

Welcome to the real world where stuff breaks down. Gamers all have to grow up eventually and find out this stuff happens all the time... to everyone.

Skyrim didn't break your ps3 and now I leave this ridondulous thread.

By all means.. please do quit playing games on your ps3. Never come back.

Goodbye then you piece of trash, you are contributing absolutely 0 to this thread and do not belong here anyway, no one asked for your petty 2 cents to begin with.

What is a mod supposed to say? They have no influence or input from Bethesda other than anthing Gstaff might post on a whim.

The ridiculous claim that such and such game broke my ps3 goes on in every single popular game on the market. ALL of them broke your ps3.

Just because you were playing Skyrim when yours went belly up doesn't mean Skyrim added anything in particular to your kettle of pos stew.

Blame Sony before you blame anyone else.

The ps3 is terrible in this regard and Sony has redesigned it several times because of it.

My fat 40 gave up after just a year of gentle playing. The bad design of the Laser mount was at fault and I threw the stupid PS3 in the trash and bough a newer design.

Unfortunately these consoles wear out. HDs crash all the time. Ask any pc user. I've had Video cards, HDs, sound cards, you name it... they all break.

It wasn't skyrim and it's just silly to blame the game.

Of course games cause stress on our PS3... So stop playing games. There's your answer.

If youn want a game cconsole with heat and moving parts, you are gonna have to live with the fact that they break down.
My car's engine needs gasoline to work. I fill up the tank in various gas stations during it's life. One day I put gasoline from a gas station far away from where I live and a few miles further my engine malfunctions. Things break I say, it just happened to be now. My mechanic took the car and after repairing it he told me that the gasoline in it's tank was dilluted with water and bad gas will damage the engine. Should I blame the car manufacturer or the aging engine?
Skyrim interacts with your harddrive. All games do. None of my games that have frozen in the past a couple of times here and there caused any corruption. Skyrim, a game with a faulty game engine has brought up warning messages for file checking.
Skyrim shouldn't freeze or lag. It does. If the system's well being is compromized by freezes, resourse taxing caused by lag, improper shutdowns, then it is still Skyrim's fault!

Oooh name caller.. hahahaha

Good luck with your brick...

I have skyrim on 2 ps3s and a pc. I've plat'd the game and continue to make new characters. I am a big player advocate on this game, calling out Bethesda for all the schlock they have released on this and the 2 previous titles and YET I am never going to be one of the idiots that blames a game for breaking a computer.

Skyrim didn't kill your ps3. That's just life, gow up and deal.

its more like you are a truck driver and then the new company takes your truck puts on a trailer that over works your engine without telling you and then your truck breaks down.
did company x cause your truck to break? yes

Ah, since you're going to change the circumstances.... The FDT has weight limitations and enforces them with weigh stations on the interstate (I'm sure you've noticed them). Therefore by that logic, IF (huge, immense, colossal "if") Skyrim does in fact create circumstances within a PS3 conducive to hardware failure then Sony(The FDT and their weight stations in this example) is responsible, not Bethesda.

No for the arguments here..

it's not like trucking.

It's like dying from heart disease and blaming it on the big mac you were eating when you died. Sure the 1 billion other big macs you ate may have contributed to your death, but blaming the one you were eating at the time is just stupid.

Done.

Bye.

Enjoy your brick of a ps3.

yeah, this went well. A game is probably not going to physically break a machine.
