Well, at least you guys have a chance to do away with it through Parliament. I'm pretty certain that us signing it was done via a sole-executive treaty, meaning it doesn't need congress's approval.

that's because the internet part of the bill is less about getting pirates. And more about having an extralegal means to raid your computer at a whim. Since the board created with this treaty is answerable to no government at all. Any gorvernment can use it to access your accounts, cloud data. and pc. without any constraints that your government may have against that. With impuninty, and without any legal repercussions for them. All for your protection, of course.

Bear in mind that I'm in Australia, and we were pretty much screwed as soon as the USA came out with the idea .
