Tattoos!

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 4:06 am

Got any tattoos? How many? What are they? Do you plan on getting any? Ideas!?

I have 4 and they are...
My sister's hand holding a rose by its thorns with my hand underneath it catching the blood
My niece's initials
A tribal Coqui...the way Tainos used to draw them
A capricorn stone

Would you do it again?

I'm planning on getting one this year once I've saved up enough. Black and white crow (the bird, not lame movie character) design. I'm a crap artist, so I need to go see a tattooist and have them draw me something up.

I've got a few... some Japanese Kanji on my leg and also some stuff from Norse mythology.

oh and I'm working on a full sleeve. I'll probably try to get it done by the end of the summer. I don't have any recent pictures, sorry, but the original draft looked like http://i.imgur.com/zFzgL.jpg The current version looks nothing like that

Can we all agree that star outlines are the lamest tattoos known to man?

It's pretty much a simple and safe piece of work with no originality or meaning behind it (for the most part)....so you're probably right

Don't have any myself. http://i.imgur.com/P6xzO.jpg Full body Japanese tattoos are cool, even on the wommenz!

I'd totally get one but I don't have the money, the time, and probably not the status either. A smaller one would be fine too but I can't really think of anything. I'm so damn uncreative.

Nice work there, Wyatt. Love the colors! :D

I just have one on my left arm, done in black: a sword thrust through a cogwheel - my own design, inspired by my time in the army.

Sounds a bit like the Brotherhood of Steel logo.

I don't have any tattoos, they sound much too painful to me, the couple of piercings I've acquired were bad enough!

I've heard mixed things about the pain. My brother got one done on his foot when he was pissed and said it wasn't too bad, apart from one 30 second section which was horrible.

But I've been in pain enough that I'm not too worried about it. I couldn't handle getting one on like my ribs, collar bone, neck, hands etc. That would be terrible pain wise!

There's no status requirement to get a tattoo. If you want one, go for it. I'm not the creative type neither but I can come up with simple ideas that can be expanded on. That's what the tattoo artists are for!

Nice work Wyatt. The colors add alot of intensity

I got one on my left forearm of a starcraft marine, planning on someday having a full sleeve of videogame art on my left arm, and music on my right.

I was talking about the full body Japanese style one I posted.

I'm not Yakuza, it might be a bit hard for me to get one of those done. :D

At first I thought those were clothes...

Cant say im a fan of the style.

No I have none, and dont intend getting any.
1) I wouldnt consider one unless it has meaning.
2) It would annoy me that, that part of my body would be different to the rest of me.

The pain isn't a big deal unless the needle hits a nerve cluster, in which case I hope you have control over your impulses and reactions because people tend to jerk their body away from the needle when it happens. :P

Not yet, have 2 more years before I can. But my brother just got one. It's a seagull with my uncles initials (he died last year) on his left shoulder blade.
I really want a celtic style sleeve or a http://imgur.com/dpe3G.

Looking forward to tattoos on my arm into the future... Guns N Roses stuff on one, Motely Crue on other, with some Van Halen/Poison/Def Leppard thrown into the mix. You may say I'm a hairband junky, and you'd be right.

I only have one that I got on my right arm when I was 19 yrs old. It's simply my wife's name. We're still together. That's enough.
Tatts are a total waste of money to me.

Pain really depends on multiple things like where you get the tattoo, your personal pain tolerance, how long it takes, etc. your endorphins stop umbin the pain after 3-4 hours, after that it can be painful. Bones close to the skin such as ribs, wrists, elbows, etc. tend to hurt more. Fat hurts more than meat/muscle as well.
