What are your PC specs? That'll be why it doesn't look as good as you hoped it would be.

Max GPU utilization according to MSI Afterburner is 67%

And I am getting around 20-30 fps average. Why was this released like this? Certainly this would've been encountered in testing...

And of course the textures are blurry and slow to load.

It'll be interesting to see if these issues are a result of the steam pre-load. Is anyone experiencing this from a boxed install?

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T clocked at 3.5ghz
Two Radeon HD 6870 in CF
8 Gigs DDR3
Bought and preloaded on Steam

Getting way too much texture pop-in and about 25 FPS average... this is with AA off, Rage hotfix drivers, running at 1680 x 1050 (I think) resolution windowed. It's a sad night.

I can confirm screen tearing/slow loading textures on head turn. I used the driver package posted in the sticky specifically for this game and the tearing became worse. Going to try rolling back to 11.8

Phenom II quad @ 3.6Ghz
8gb 1066
ATI 5770 (1GB)

Edit: 11.8 drivers did not fix this problem. Hopefully a patch is released very soon.

Im also running a Radeon 6870 1gb, 8gbs of ram and a amd phenom iix4 965 be oc to 4.0 ghz. and this is insane the FPS is jumping every where back and forth to 15-60fps its playable but blinking textures everywhere and slow loading textures kind of kill the game... if i stand still it looks amazing!!! i guess thats a plus glad i payed $60 to stand there. better have a fix soon or im gonna be ******.

we are having all this problems cause the engine is trying to load everything for us in a way that is kinda automated. Instead of letting us set the quality where we want it. Thats why you guys can't find any options of quality settings. We need that working and we need it to be manual instead of automated. I don't trust automated systems. Cause they never work right.

Gigabyte P55-UD4P motherboard

G.Skill Ripjaws 2x 2GB DDR3 1600mhz CL7

Registered just to post, turn camera and I get nice flat solid color textures and a few seconds later I get some detail.

I have a boxed retail copy and I am experiencing the bootleg texture pop-in / steaming. Also, some of the textures in the game look impossibly low-res even after loading for a game hyped for it's graphics.

Your pc gamers issues come with that, really every time a game is released there are tons of these threads. If you want to just insert the disk and play you really need to buy a console theres simply no way to ensure a pc game will function given all of the variables especially when something odd like a driver can be the cause of all the issues. The game runs fine on console so its on the user end.

I haven't seen anyone else post about this, so, this is the problem i've been having with Rage. I haven't had any texture pop-in, however, I do have this probelm where you can see the texture "polygons" or something to that effect. It looks like everything is made up of puzzle pieces.

An example can be found here:

(sorry for the dark screenshot, click on the pic to get a better view)

My system stats are as follows:
Win 7 64-bit
8gigs Ram
Intel i7 2600k @ 4.5 ghz
eVGA GeForce 560ti GTX SuperClocked - Driver Version 285.38 (recommended for Rage by nVidia)
