Is the Enclave coming back at all?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:06 am

The chossen one in f2 blew the oil rig up that was there only base and they had a small outpost called navaro with a few guards and some scientists but no bethseda had to bring them back as the [censored] enemy in f3 even though they where DESTROYED! We killed them again In f3 so they are DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!

They've been killed twice! If they come back I will rage

I hope not.

Hate how they are becoming the Bowser of the Fallout series.

No I don't think so. They have an alluded base in Chicago but nowhere else - and I hope not - that we know of. To all of those saying that they could have bases all over the world, play Fallout 2. Just because they have 'advanced tech' doesn't mean that what was a secret contingent before the war could have enough people to create multiple self-sustaining shelters; then there is the question of why.

Please just let the Enclave go.

Here we go again...

It is extremely unlikely the Enclave will be back; the Remnants we saw in F:NV were pretty much all that's left in the West, and in the East they're scattered to the winds hiding from the CW BoS.

I, for one, hope they stay dead, as there's really no place for them anymore. Besides, there's nothing left for them to return to since all their bases are either occupied by someone else (mostly NCR these days) or a pile of wreckage left to rot.

What about other parts of the country?

All we know is that the Western Enclave is pretty much destroyed, the Mid-Eastern Enclave is completely disorganized and destroyed, but what about the Mid-Western, Southern or Northern parts of the US, the Enclave can't be completely wiped out.

So you like the Enclave because you like shooting them? Right. The Enclave doesn't want your support.

They were all the same Enclave, the one's in DC came from the West Coast; why does their have to be Enclave in every region? Why can't they be completely destroyed, they were a secret organisation before the war, ie, not very big.

The Enclave is a cool concept...a remnant of the pre-war government that doomed us to this apocalyptic nightmare and continuing to commit atrocities all in the sake of order.

Or maybe the "No-Enclave" crowd wants more enemies dressed up like Roman soldiers and fighting with piece-of-sh*t machetes. Seriously it's ironic how many people are like the Legion is so cool, and then all this Enclave bashing.

Well most of that is just wrong.

Whatever. No bashing going on here, just logic and sense-making; here's an idea, ask Bethesda for a new powerful faction if you dislike the Legion so much.

It's more of a matter that they are not even a challenge - game play wise- not lore.

I love both Enclave and Legion, but Enclave concept has been overused too much,

Legion or any other new faction over Enclave any day

Seriously it's ironic how many people are like the Legion is so cool, and then all this Enclave bashing.

Ironic in what,? Enclave was defeated 3 TIMES!, its not BASHING, but I personally cannot take seriously a faction like these, no matter if they look scary and have the cool tech, the lost the "Villain cape" long time ago, when they got defeated for the third time in Adam Air Force,

The Chicago outpost may not be there anymore since ED-E's journey could have taken 40 years at the most.

The problem with bringing the Enclave back is that their MAIN base was obliterated in Fallout 2, then they were ressurected for Fallout 3 where John Henry Eden called all (or at least almost all) of the Enclave forces that were left to the DC wasteland, which means that if there are any Enclave left at all their numbers would be on the very small side.

Given that they have been OBLITERATED thrice at their main bases of that moment, I seriously doubt that there would be many of them left. One other thing that people seem to be forgetting is that they were a SHADOW goverment/organisation and as such would not have been all that large to begin with, their numbers if I remember correctly at the time of the war were made up of some goverment officials, captains of industry and suchlike but they were not the entire US goverment.

No it couldn't. Raven Rock was established from the survivors of Fallout 2, besides, the pre-release infomation on the companions gives his age as 6.

Oh man, I'd love to see the Enclace again in some future installment. Between the West and East Coast there is a lot of territory that has not been explored yet by the devs (both old and new ones). Since they managed to pop up out of nowhere in DC (aside from the occasional bug) they surely must have bases all over the former USA, which included annexed Canada. And like the Shi having made home on former US soil, so could the Enclave have done in China. In other words, there is plenty of opportunity for the Enclave to pop up again, maybe working in independed cells, but after the humiliating second defeat at the hands of "the unpure" it's more likely they are biding time before exposing them again.

The one's in DC came from Navarro on the West Coast.

From the mouth of the President himself, TWO bases in 2242.

{273}{prs54}{You could try, I suppose, but soon the staff of the Enclave and Navarro will be inoculated.}

I'm sorry, I'm getting tired of these threads.

No, they should not come back, maybe small refernces through computers and tech loot. But not an actual faction.

...Go play the originals, im not accusing here BUT the majority of you in favor SEEM to have only played Fallout 3.
