Is the Enclave coming back at all?

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 9:15 am

This i painful; all the new members who arent clued up on grammar or Fallout lore wanting the Enclave back because they are cool? not pussie?
This thread is going nowhere but downhill, i suggest the experienced Fallout players like myself refrain from posting in this topic :foodndrink:

Yeah I know, pretty poor reason right? Someone's got to keep posting:

{273}{prs54}{You could try, I suppose, but soon the staff of the Enclave and Navarro will be inoculated.}

The Chicago outpost may not be there anymore since ED-E's journey could have taken 40 years at the most.

Chicago is probably the most secure outpost they have and i have not seen anything that suggests that the MWBOS and the Enclave have conflicted in Chicago.

As for Enclave in more DLCs Not very likely seeing as there is a story that is tieing all these DLCs together. Quite a masterpiece i think.

I swear if I have to fight one more tribal / legion-machete-p*ssy ...I'm gonna go berserk in the game.
Oh wait, I already did that. I went around shooting securitrons out of boredom.

Agreed. The Enclave were the perfect enemy. A bunch of goons in football pads just aren't the same.

I think its likely that we'll see remnants of the Enclave in a future game. With all the hints about Chicago, its likely that whenever we see the MWBOS next, we'll see what's left of the Enclave remnants.

If nothing else I'd love to just get some references and lore about them in-game. There is still so much that we really don't know, even though they've been in two games.

Far from it, in my opinion. The perfect enemy?!

Mainly because they don't like the Legion, I see little reason why that makes the Enclave any better.

I'm a bit confused about what exactly the definition of a "perfect enemy" is. Is it just based off their combat prowess and how difficult they are? Or is it their backstory and lore that makes them a good adversary?

Enclave arent the "perfect" enemy anymore, just saying, they are just the Bowser of the Fallout World, they keep coming no matter how many times got defeated

Neither one, it's because the Enclave troopers drop all the 'ph4t l3wtz' that an apparently sizable portion of the fanbase lusts over.

At least, that's the impression I got from the incoherent rants posted by a couple of people in this thread, I could be mistaken. It certainly couldn't be due to any challenge the Enclave troops present, because there isn't any.

As far as Enclave presence in the Chicago area is concerned: if there are still a sizable number of Enclave personnel there, the last thing they want to do is make themselves known as they are surely aware of what happened to the groups on the coasts. Besides which, they probably long since realized they have no chance at reestablishing the organization, and as such probably just want to be left in peace in their old age.

It's both. And the Enclave is great in both areas. Unlike some other faction we know..

I am okay with people liking and supporting them. I am just getting sick and tired when I have to bump into them every fethin' time.

How about the almighty Bethesda actually coming up with a *new* enemy faction? With power armors so they can satisfy your hunger for high-tier faceless baddies, hm?

well they do not need to add the enclave as a main event, just have a dlc where you can visit their old base in reno, the army base, or the off shore oil rig... just something like logs that tells you what happened after the rig blew up(more in depth that what you are already told) of a dlc that brings you to the world of fallout tactics and you can have that BoS armour too! :D those robots would be fun to fight! the humanoids, pacification's and the behemoths...

They never had a base in Reno and the ENCLAVE and Navarro have been destroyed. We know what happened, some stayed at Navarro and some went East to Raven Rock.

I think its fairly safe to assume we'll see the Enclave again.
None of the other factions have the ties to the shady pre-war world that the enclave does.
It's just part of the game..
I hope we don't see them come back in a huge way in NV though.

Here we go again...

It is extremely unlikely the Enclave will be back; the Remnants we saw in F:NV were pretty much all that's left in the West, and in the East they're scattered to the winds hiding from the CW BoS.

I, for one, hope they stay dead, as there's really no place for them anymore. Besides, there's nothing left for them to return to since all their bases are either occupied by someone else (mostly NCR these days) or a pile of wreckage left to rot.

This. The only way I'd support the Enclave coming back is if they're either more remnants or have been seriously retooled.

The CL are very strong. They have the strongest light armor i think?

You fight the Enclave twice and people are up in arms over them being overused? Seriously?

Actually it's three times, they weren't supposed to return after Fallout 2 because they were so small and yet the surivors appear in legions on the complete opposide coast, get crushed by Liberty Prime, get destroyed, get destroyed again in Broken Steel and then Lyon's still says he wouldn't be surprised if they came back.

Look at it this way:

50% of the most popular Fallout games are centered on defeating the Enclave.

The Remnants were either hunted down or successfully intergrated into the NCR. But they could return, or try to take over the NCR, though that's highly unlikely.
Suffice it to say, they're gone. But is it really that bad? They'll come up with another group bent on taking over the world.
