The new skin, thread 2

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 3:59 pm

I liked being anonymous on the forums.

There's an option to sign in anonymously but it doesn't seem to work, as I appear as an active user right now despite signing in with the anonymous box checked. Apparently bugs affect Beths forums as prominently as their games :P

I liked the older skin, because if anything, you were still able to see if people were browsing your/a particular thread.

Yeah but then I become the "anonymous guy" it's different when it applies to everyone. :P

Well this is interesting. Will take some getting used to, but so far I like it.

Certainly is working, I have just checked it with this account and I can't see myself or any of the other anonymous users who were here a minute ago . Note that moderators can see those who are signed in anoymously. :)

This is very interesting. Very interesting indeed. It's going to take a bit before I'm used to this though.

And now I notice that my sig is messed up and I have no avatar. Cool beans.

Fixed.

Oh, I get it now...the bold topic font turns to regular after you read the topic.

Then it goes back to the hideous bold after somebody else posts... :brokencomputer: :ahhh:

I liked the older one because new stuff is scary and evil. I still haven't got used to this "graphical" malarky yet.

I see the list of active users has gone again. "Spot the list of active users" could become an entertaining new pastime: which topic is it in today?

Yes. My previous post was at the top of this page when I replied and now it's not. I've noticed similar weirdness a few times now.

I would rather have my join date than my post count displayed. That is the only thing I don't like so far.

Yeah, I like seeing who's on the forum, and who's looking at a given thread...that's how I stalk all the gurls I like.

Me too...I like the idea of a seniority date instead of how much or how little I yack. I'm astonished at Rohugh's post count, though. :shocking:

Another side note, I never used the quick post option but the full editor. That is making this transition a bit more interesting. Also I like the reduced post rate limit.

And the warn bar is red not silver :ermm:

I don't know what to trust anymore

The full editor reply is only at the top of the page now, and I think posts are actually unlimited if you use quick-reply.

Really? This is a test.

Awesome. Also, having the reply way at the top defeats the purpose of reading the entire thread then. It should be at the bottom.

Yeah mine are, every thread seems to change between 8 and 11 pages, annoyingly.

Don't you have the reply box already at the bottom of the page. I don't even have to click anything to respond. It's just there waiting for me...

EDIT: Sorry for double post.

Oh, yea it's there too. I had said previously that I never used the quick reply option in the other skin.

Ah, sorry mate. I never saw that post. I've always found this feature to be a lot easier than adding a full reply. It makes it much faster.

Ah, I see they just now fixed the width issues. The forums are now using my whole screen. Bueno.
