The new skin, thread 2

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 2:21 am

It's still 11 for me...
And it has always been 11 for me since I started using the forum until now

And as far as I know you can't change the amount of posts on each page manually.

Also, I think it's a good idea that there is a generic avatar for people without one, now they won't be ignored by me

so far, i like it. runs smoother, looks (what is the adjective here, cleaner? neater?). (the theme, mine is set to the Warrior... the other one looks, i don't know, facebook-ish and, i don't know, different but i am not sure i like it.)

It's not gone, it was just reduced from 60 seconds to 30 seconds.

Really? it must be a bug because I was in the PC help section over at the Skyrim forums and I posted in 2 different threads in a matter of seconds.

I'll give it another go when I get a chance...odd...

Are you using your chrome tweak to change posts per page?

You guys realize that we've always had the option to change how many posts there are on each page right?
Nooooooooope.

Looks like a more polished version of the previous one to me. I like it, just wish the font was friendlier...

It was 7 pages for me, and now it's back to 11. And the avatars keep changing from square to normal size and back again.

I'm so confuuuuused.

Oh god, I don't like it. Everything is too glossy and the toolbar doesn't follow me around like before so now I HAVE to scroll to the top to do things. D;

#bar {position: fixed;}

Use that. It works with Chrome.

I'm not 100% sure it really needs to be so noticeable, I'm sure if people knowing a post was edited was important the poster would say EDITED or something.
Ah, but it needs to be noticeable when a moderator edits the post.

How do we use this. I tried it with the Stylish extension to no avail?

I am getting unlimited posting...

I just tried it out in http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1320527-copied-forum-or-something-else/page__view__findpost__p__19852322.

So, is it really supposed to be 30 seconds now, not unlimited?

Just want to know so I can throw a note over at Henning's thread.

Ugh, if there's one thing this forum definitely didn't need more of, it's gradients.

Is it just me, or do polls not have a different icon anymore?

Ah, but it needs to be noticeable when a moderator edits the post.
Oh, Okay

And I suppose putting YOU JUST GOT MODERATED in size 48 is out of the question :P

A new 7 page limit? That's pretty redundant. I get that pages exceeding a certain limit would be painful for the forums to load, especially with masses of them being made. But if each thread is locked at 7 pages, that naturally creates more threads. Running the ratio from 11:1 to 7:1

For every 7 pages there is a new thread. Making it worse for the loading since more threads than before are being loaded.

This of course doesn't account for a ratio of 100:1, saying that 100 pages calls for 1 new thread because even though there would be significantly less threads, more of them would be longer. The amount made wouldn't change with the amount of posts in a thread because 100 page threads tend to go off topic. Maintenance for those threads would be hard especially if many of them are long and off topic.

The 11:1 ratio was perfect.

The post limit is still 200, those 200 posts just fit on 7 pages (8 now for me, and 11 for most/some people)

Does anyone know if there is any chance we will ever get the old Avatar sizes allowed back?

100x100 is annoyingly small... :(

only 30 seconds to reply ... why is that needed?

And what does that have to do with post limits - someone before said that the time was reduced when I asked if the post limit (of 200 posts per thread) was removed.

Was the 200 per thread limit removed? That was what I was referring to.

I'm seeing an auto save happening when I type this. Wazzat?

I like this new skin and the custom filter...

The only thing that's out of place in my opinion is the electric green "Pinned" label. They should have made them Beige or Azure...more in line with Skyrim palette... XD
