The Werewolf situation

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 5:25 am

But the question remains, are there nights (such as when either moon, or both are full) were it forces you to transform and kill someone, like the other two elder scrolls with werewolves did
Not sure

Not sure
hmmm odd if evena nightly transformation isn't in

I would hate to use a spell or a action like that to turn into a werewolf cuz when you think of werewolf transformations you think of it being FORCED onto the person

Alls I know is that even if what I say turns out to be true and everyone gets their werewolves, they will all still find something to complain about with it

ok i edited it sorry

i hate the rules-_- i swear it IS in the spoiler section after all and we already ARE talking about werewolves and I was just saying that if he SAW it (not asking for a link or scan or whatever it is) he might have missed some INFO like transforming at night or only on Lunar cycles Besides the one a day thing

Well it looked like a transparency fade to me, but as I said, watching live stream in a dark ass dungeon it's hard to tell for sure. What I saw looked good from what I could tell.

Spoiler
werewolves have finishing moves where it shows them eating the victims face, and eating people extends bloodlust. Also they get down on all fours when they sprint and run sort of like a dog. Looks more like a giraffe or something though since their front arms are so long. It's cool though.

Is it againts forum rules to say that I just watched what some of you guys watched before? It look [censored] awesome! I just have one question: do you guys know if turning into a werewolf is going to make you character look ugly on the long run? I mean kinda like the way vampires worked in OB. Remember your characters turning into wrinkly old farts.

It probably adds those light green eyes that we've seen on some werewolf npcs

Aye, just imagine what a pleasant surprise it would have been during your playthrough if it hadn't been leaked? A true OMGWTF moment.

Now it's instead a "meh, I knew that already *snores*" moment -_-

What do you mean by darker? Your skin tone gets darker? you turn into a darker and evil being?

So, you get the disease and after it's in full effect you have the ability to go beast/Werewolf? I don't like having the option to choose it, if it's the only one. I'll like forced transformation more, because it feels like you need to plan your actions accordingly. Either way, I'm happy with this. Does anyone know how long the forced Beast transformation lasts?

Oh, and sorry for posting in the General Discussion. I haven't been on here much, so I didn't know this section was open. People are so unforgiving when you mistakenly post something out of place.

Question: In Skyrim, are you only vulnerable to silver weapons when transformed or in human form as well?

I think the whole thing is pretty interesting.

If you think about it from a business perspective, you'd expect them to try and cover all their niches with marketing. Another company might have taken Werewolves as a feature and used it to try and sell the game better, while Bethesda went ahead and decided to surprise their fans with unexpected extra content.

Though to be honest, considering they stated flat out that certain things were not in game, and then said "no comment" for werewolves was as good as a "yes" for me to begin with! :P

This is currently unclear but in previous games you were resistant to normal weapons and took double damage from silver weapons, in beast form anyway. Magic affects had no change.

I can confirm that there's only a 3rd person view when playing as a werewolf.

Aaaand there goes all my overexcessive excitement for the werewolf feature :(
I'm sorry if it sounds whiny, but not having the option to play it in 1st person ruins it for me =/

That's cool. Lore-wise werewolves are suppose to be a bit strange in human form. Smell funny, look a bit more wild, some even depressed or insane looking. Hence the crazy moody werewolves of Daggerfall and the "Insane, "Gibbering" or "Wandering idiots" we saw in Bloodmoon.

Don't believe him/her. The leaked version seems to be an incomplete version, not the one that will be released on 11/11/11. Even if it is, which is unlikely, the developers were talking about some kind of feature allowing them to patch the game via internet/x-box live as often as issues occurred(Can't remember, look it up). I have no doubt an issue like that will be patched soon after release.

I'm pretty sure there are still many people out there still clueless about this and other recently spoiled features and will be amazed by this discovery, just as Bethesda intended by keeping them out of the main press coverage.

And that's no lie, by the way. Obviously they were hoping for the game to have lots of surprises, but that's almost impossible nowadays. But then again, I'm sure they saw the piracy coming as well. At least someone out there will be in awe, which is as good as it gets.

That is not accurate, the leaked version appears to be an exact copy of the final game that went gold, with all the features locked.

I think you can expect a 1st person werewolf as much as you can expect 1st person horse riding. For some reason they found it ugly or impractical and decided to go 3rd person only.

How do you know it's the final version and not the demo version? From what I have heard the leaked version had several horrendous glitches that would never get passed the development stage. Bethesda is better than that, that is all the proof I need, unless you can prove otherwise.

No one will be able to prove anything simply because Bethesda won't comment on the leaks. But you would do well to be prepared for both cases, that way you won't be disappointed if there are bugs or missing features in the final game. Don't forget the game will almost certainly be patched before the year is over.

We know its the final Xbox copy. We're not going to have a debate on the workings of the scene on Bethesda's forums, but release groups are extremely diligent about how they tag these things. This was leaked after the game went gold, it's a press copy, it's the real thing.

As for glitches, they happen in new releases, and no, Bethesda is not above that reality. They give good post release support, and will probably patch most of the issues, but there will be some 'horrendous glitches' as always at first.
