since the one in the transformation could do it, it's highly likely you can do it too

The Companions are in a town/city, I believe. I think they're centered around Winterun.
The Companions are centered in Whiterun, College of Winterhold is obviously in Winterhold and Thieves are in Riften.

in daggerfall you could transform whenever you wanted once a day. it's probably similar for skyrim

That's cool. Lore-wise werewolves are suppose to be a bit strange in human form. Smell funny, look a bit more wild, some even depressed or insane looking. Hence the crazy moody werewolves of Daggerfall and the "Insane, "Gibbering" or "Wandering idiots" we saw in Bloodmoon.
:D yay!

Don't believe him/her. The leaked version seems to be an incomplete version, not the one that will be released on 11/11/11. Even if it is, which is unlikely, the developers were talking about some kind of feature allowing them to patch the game via internet/x-box live as often as issues occurred(Can't remember, look it up). I have no doubt an issue like that will be patched soon after release.
I agree

That is not accurate, the leaked version appears to be an exact copy of the final game that went gold, with all the features locked.

I think you can expect a 1st person werewolf as much as you can expect 1st person horse riding. For some reason they found it ugly or impractical and decided to go 3rd person only.
and you would know this how? Why in the world take out first person mode just for this? I can understand it in horse riding because most people like myself really go into 1st person mode when we are in Combat, so it makes sense to keep it in the game since even as a werewolf you will find combat for sure

How do you know it's the final version and not the demo version? From what I have heard the leaked version had several horrendous glitches that would never get passed the development stage. Bethesda is better than that, that is all the proof I need, unless you can prove otherwise.

God from the vids I have barely seen this IS the case O__O omg so many glitches and bad textures
We know its the final Xbox copy. We're not going to have a debate on the workings of the scene on Bethesda's forums, but release groups are extremely diligent about how they tag these things. This was leaked after the game went gold, it's a press copy, it's the real thing.

As for glitches, they happen in new releases, and no, Bethesda is not above that reality. They give good post release support, and will probably patch most of the issues, but there will be some 'horrendous glitches' as always at first.

Dude the game just WENT GOLD THIS MORNING!!! SO NO this was not a gold copy that they got, they (reviewers than torrentures) got a glitches uncompletely polished copy

The game just went gold today and is being shipping out sooo ummmm ya

Thank you it makes sense now!
Yes it does thank you so much :D

I was wondering why we would need a power like that *once a day* but with hunters that makes sense

Well, I certainly hope the game doesn't force you in accepting Werewolves as fine and dandy, and we get the option to oppose them/join the silver hand instead.

Just refusing to be werewolved isn't enough, there has to be more options than just "I want to be a werewolf" and "I don't mind werewolves, but I'll stay human".

It'd be dissapointing to see the one fighter-oriented major faction forcing players into playing someone who is fine with werewolves.

but wait. all the screenshots have shown that if you complete hircine's daedric quest you get hircine's ring, allowing you to transform into a werewolf, so which is it do you get it from hircine? or do you get it from the circle? or both? and the ring says it gives you transformation powers, does that mean if you become a werewolf in some other place besides hircines quest without his ring, that you can't control it or something?

the ring gives you an additional transformation, this could mean the lycanthropy works like it did in daggerfall in which you can transform at will once per day.
the ring allows you to transform twice a day.

Someone asked Pete about the 3rd person thing:

"@DCDeacon I heard a rumor that under some circomstances, you can only fight/combat in 3rd person perspective, is this really true?? Thanks!

DCDeacon
@Frankthebunny88 No, it's not."

Guessing its just a bug on the leaked copy then, considering the game went gold this morning, people have not been playing the final build.

Okay, Falkar just won +50 badass points from me with that line.

Just a question, you can recruit Lydia again if you wished, right? Dump Falkar back in his base and go grab Lydia?

Yes, as her Thane, you can retrieve her from Whiterun Hall and have her do your bidding anytime.

I think the whole thing is pretty interesting.

If you think about it from a business perspective, you'd expect them to try and cover all their niches with marketing. Another company might have taken Werewolves as a feature and used it to try and sell the game better, while Bethesda went ahead and decided to surprise their fans with unexpected extra content.

Though to be honest, considering they stated flat out that certain things were not in game, and then said "no comment" for werewolves was as good as a "yes" for me to begin with! :P

I agree 100%, they took something awesome that would be a HUGE selling point for any game, and made it a gift for any person who could resist the spoil. To be honest, after learning everything I have, I wish I would have just waited, especially with the way everyone is describing it. HYPEMETER +3

This, I would also like to know. I was under the impression that multiple companions could be recruited at the same time.

I believe it is possible, though so far I have only seen examples of having a follower while following someone else. For example, you can take Lydia with you when you follow Delphine to investigate her theory about dragons being revived.

The question is very vague, don't you think? How could Pete know he/she was talking about werewolves? Anyways, I think the forced third-person view can be taken as a way of separating your character from their more beastly side. Anyone read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitty_Norville? When the main character turns, the book narrates in third person to distance her from her Ms. Hyde. Still, I can see the point. First-person would be good.
