It came up to the waist of a giant, I don't think that is small...

So... are there wild ones? Can you get infected without joining the guild?

I knew about their move where they punce on them and slice them, didn't know about a knockout move.

I think he means knockdown I mean with sending someone flying when you hit them.

But when I first saw the werewolf the NPC became I really thought he was huge, like enormous. But the one the player became himself was rather small in comparison to the other in my opinion.
Maybe age and power brings size to the lycan form... In the same way that vampires get stronger as they get older.

In the other thread he insisted that wasn't enough for him.
I have it on VERY good authority that first and third person work fine...

I gotta go take a leak *cough* *cough*

I would venture to speculate that there will be Werewolves outside of the Companions. There have been Vampires outside of the "Main Vampire Quests", I don't see why this will be any different. They may not show up until later levels but Werewolves are human during the day. We could be talking to them in town and never know about their nightly shenanigans. Unless we follow them and find out...

I imagine the fun in destroying werewolf dens - actually, wouldn't werewolves be crazy OP? Which means making a den of werewolves would be...extremely challenging. However, with logic such as this, you could become a werewolf outside of the Companions, yes? For instance, in Oblivion you could become a vampire via involuntary infection OR via Vicente Valtieri.

What? Why do you think they would be crazy? You yourself get to become a werewolf so does that make you crazy?

Where there are people, there are trolls.

Anywho I just realized the werewolves actually cause a problem for me. I wasn't expecting them to be in so I decided that I would be a Khajiit this time around cause they look cool unlike past games where they just looked silly.... now that the walking embodiments of awesomeness are confirmed... well a werewolf Khajiit just doesn't make sense to me.
Sanies Lupinus(Lycanthropty - technically Therianthropy) affects all humanoid races. It is a very powerful disease created by a god. Regardless the victims racial disposition/genus/class/phylum they will assume the form that the particular strain of the disease dictates. An infected Argonian bitten by a Werewolf will transform into a Werewolf just as sure as an infected Nord bitten by a Werecrocodile will transform into a Werecrocodile and any combination thereof.

Not everyone can handle the cons of the condition. Those of weak will often lose their minds.

I suppose it's similar to vamps. Some people gain a measure of control over the bloodlust and then go on to lead productive lives and see vampirism as a gift. Others never gain that control and remain as monsters to themselves and to the people around them.

If there are wild, savage werewolves, maybe I'll go werewolf against werewolf. My werewolf will be trying to use his powers to protect the innocent, so if some wild werewolves decide to attack an innocent village, I'll use my Lycantrophy to fight them back. :toughninja:

I like the sound of that. No reason to kill Innocents when there are other savages that need killing.

I agree. Certainly there's going to be huge amounts of savages in Skyrim, and I'm certain they will be a...renewable...food source.

Well werewolf's can run on 4 feet and that does drain stamina. After losing health they can eat flesh from corpses to regain health. And you become real big like 2,5 meters.

Does the transformation wear off after time though? Or is it by player choice?

Don't know after watching a couple of videos it's now shown but you can transform into a werewolf when ever you want!

I know, but can we turn back whenever we want as well? I don't fancy slaughtering an entire dungeon only to return to the form of a puny human right in front of the boss...but that could be a funny and unique moment!

Be sure when you transform to unequip any weapons you're carrying because they will not disappear and stick out of your body it looks really ugly -_-
