Do we know if there are wild Wolves yet?

Or are they only in the Circle and Hircine Quest?

Will being a werewolf have an effect on marrige and can you turn your partner?

Good question. I'd rather not join any guilds(to get lycanthropy) if i don't have to.

Also, that moderator seemed mad.

They always are. But it's not like ALL of us make a new thread when ever we hear a new sentence.

And also, a merge doesn't really work when it puts a thread over the post limit.

I think this thread is justified.

OT: Lack of wild Lychan would definitely cheapen the experience.

On top of that, do we know of the Downsides to being a Lychan? Lunar Transformation, Silver Weakness, Anything?

Not yet.

We can speculate that if Beth put as much effort in Lycnathropy as we think they did, then gradually(through perks/levelling) the transformations will be under our control, rather than the lunar cycle.

i wonder if there will be any slight racial differences in the werewolves for instance if an orc becomes a werewolf will the werewolves bottom jaw fangs be quite visible and perhaps may the werewolf itself be larger and more muscular than say a cyrodillic or redguard werewolf? or even better will an argonian werewolf have mangy fur and patches of scales and snake like fangs and eyes? some say it would be to odd having any trace of what the host once was in the werewolf but i believe it would make them more interesting.

This. And the same with vampirism I suppose.

I read something about Morrowind lycanthropy which I also didn't like. If ONE person caught you changing, EVERYONE suddenly knew and refused to have anything to do with you. I really hope this isn't completely true and isn't the case in Skyrim. Though it was stupid in Oblivion when they went "Stay away from me you monster!!!" *goes to sleep and the PC feeds on her then talks to her* "Oh hi, I'm Ugrak gra-Molok" or whatever.

I really hope so. It's be stupid having a lizard suddenly turning into a hairy wolf. I think I heard something about werecrocodiles. Maybe they turn into them.

Anyway, it would be nice to have something that shows it's you. Like red eyes if you were a Dunmer or different coloured coats for different skintones.

I would bet on silver weakness, it seems quite likely. All of the Silver Hand members had silver weaponry in the first quest involving werewolves in the Companions' Guild. I doubt it's just aesthetics.

I would think, hope, that there are wild werewolves. Kinda like in Oblivion, you had some Vampires hiding in society, one in the Dark Brotherhood, then those in some caves and tombs.

So I'm just guessing but I think they would fallow the same pattern with Skyrim. So we already have a guile they are connected too. We don't really know much about the werewolf in the Hircine quest, he could be blending in with society, we don't know. As for those in the wild. Well I guess we gotta just wait for the game and see if we happen upon some... or just ask someone with a strategy guide where there are some... that last ones kinda my plan, that or make a B line for the Hircine quest once I'm proper level (if there is a level requirement again)

Did anyone encounter a wild werewolf in Bloodmoon(that wasn't quest related)?

there has to be a way to be anti werewolf if you can be pro-werewolf.. so i would hope to see werewolfs in the wild that are killable and such, or a way to join the silver hand or whatnot.

Lunar transformations would be great. Without that and just the abiity to tranform at will makes the person more of a shapeshifter than a werewolf. I heard a few disadvatages reported: feeding prolongs time in werewolf form. Feeding restores health and fatigue. If werewolf does not kill a person, it loses health. This is for skyrim.

This sounds incredible!

I really hope we can have a werewolf companion.
Pack hunting would be sweet!

Where there are people, there are trolls.

Anywho I just realized the werewolves actually cause a problem for me. I wasn't expecting them to be in so I decided that I would be a Khajiit this time around cause they look cool unlike past games where they just looked silly.... now that the walking embodiments of awesomeness are confirmed... well a werewolf Khajiit just doesn't make sense to me.

there have been argonian acrobats who were werewolves, they looked like normal werewolves.

Has there been any more clarification yet on whether we can play as a werewolf in first-person?
