Has there been any more clarification yet on whether we can play as a werewolf in first-person?

I really hope so. It's be stupid having a lizard suddenly turning into a hairy wolf. I think I heard something about werecrocodiles. Maybe they turn into them.

Anyway, it would be nice to have something that shows it's you. Like red eyes if you were a Dunmer or different coloured coats for different skintones.
i mainly would like it because an argonian werewolf would be frightening as all get out who knows maybe modders can make it happen.

Yes, Pete confirmed it.
In the other thread he insisted that wasn't enough for him.

If you're referring to the tweet from yesterday, then no he didn't. He responded to a vague tweet that wasn't even specifically about werewolves. There's a high chance that werewolves didn't even cross his mind when answering.

Well then there's no confirmation.
Hopefully you can play in first person as it will help me greatly get imerzed in the game.

How original. I've never seen anyone deliberately misspell that word before.

Well, I have been making fun of the Imershunerz before I came to these forums(2006)
Lets get back on topic anyway, I don't need another warning.

I'm kind of hoping for Lycanthropy to be as much as a Curse as it is a Positive thing.
I was thinking of once a Month when the Full Moon comes out your forced into your Transformation and have no control over what your doing (as all the other nights you can Choose to transform and have Control). Kill some people in town without knowing it, possibly your wife or friends.
and yeah I can't really think of any other negatives besides Weakness to Silver but that's already in.

I have read that the Companions have quite a big link with werewolves in Skyrim. Does this mean that the guild as a whole is sympathetic to werewolves or have links with werewolves? Or are the werewolves just like Vicente Valtieri in the Dark Brotherhood back in Oblivion; just a side branch involving a single member?

They're more sympathetic to werewolves then you know. Though...they're probably not sympathetic to murderous rampaging werewolves.

Only the Circle(ie: the high-ups) are werewolves. Not sure if the rest of the guild even knows...

I'll just tell you what they are much like Vicente Valtiere in Oblivion. Werewolves who restrain their own powers and instincts for the sake of the Guild.

And no, it's not just one person.

There is no such thing as evil in TES just conflicting opinions and motives.

Thanks for the info people! :)

This sort of makes the Companions conflict with my roleplaying. I'm going to roleplay an Inquisitor/Witchhunter kind of character who hates the profane, stuff like Daedra, Undead and Vampires. He will almost certainly hate werewolves as well to keep in character. Since the ruling body of the guild are werewolves, would my character be better off (in a roleplaying point of view) to stay away from them? Or will I be able to change the werewolf hierarchy somehow?

You'll most likely have to steer clear of the Companions.

Since the people in The Circle are pretty much the highest ranking members in the guild. You'd have to kill them.

Well, that's disappointing. :glare: Many thanks for this info though, I can't imagine how I would feel if I had to find this out the hard way and have my character's roleplay ruined.

I was almost certainly going to join the Companions, now I guess I'll leave my melee side to the Imperial Legion and join the College of Winterhold. Hopefully they don't end up being all witches! :pinch:

Not necessarily. Ever played "The Witcher"? Geralt has the choice of sparing a werewolf because it was actually someone using their curse to hunt down the "real monsters", criminals and other bad folk.

he could join them and then discover what they are and then turn and methodically kill them all. or join the... silver hand i think they were called, if that is even possible which would be cool.
