Thieves Guild Armor - You've got to be kidding me

She doesn't say that at all. Someone actually has her quoted verbatim earlier in the thread (EDIT: That might actually be in the thread in the Xbox forum but whatevers ...). Basically she tells you to "put it to good use" and that's pretty much a direct quote.

She never ever says you won't get another one. Try again.

Like I said, it's been awhile since I played the Thieves' Guild quests, so I may not be remembering correctly... Anyway who cares? Don't be in too much of a rush to complete everything... it spoils the game.

One of my characters has seven quest items in her inventory that you cannot put in your chest, drop, or sell. Yet they couldn't put the same limit on that piece of armor - wonder why not?

Really, if you get a fancy bit of armour, or a fancy weapon, or a strange mask, or something apparently unique, common sense and gamesmanship suggests hanging onto it....it's not like there is a lack of money after a certain point in the game.
I joined Thieves Guild at level one, and what they gave me is an unenchanted set. Completely clean

And I don't like the thing, I modded my Studded Armor and it looks awesome

I was saved because I was a hoarder, I thought "meh, will make a cool display" and I put 'em on a mannequin. Never thought it will be used

In fact, the fact that it is required to proceed is actually jaw-dropping. What, in Oblivion Skyrim, is the significance of upgrading a goddang armor?

Ain't like I'll need a Thieves Guild Armor if I'm a Listener.

Besides, wearing Thieves Guild Armor makes you VERY noticeable. Last time I wore it, a Riften Guard said he knew from 20 feet that I'm a Thief, 'coz I'm wearing their uniform

It's like wearing a full Stormcloak uniform when you have to sneak around Castle Dour. The best way to do the job is to ditch the uniform completely and wear something that doesn't scream "INTRUDER!" from miles away

"Well maybe if your enchanter was worth a damn I would wear it."

I actually fell off my chair.

This is so true, it cannot be dismissed.
