Things You Wanted In Dawnguard But Never Got.

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:23 pm

As would I, but I don't think we will see either the Hunting Grounds, or Coldharbour in Skyrim's DLC because people will complain it is cliche, and to appeal to the Twilight lovers, and all that. Which is absolute bull because some people have liked this stuff since before it became popular.

Personally, I think the whole 'Twilight Thing' has passed away.. I rarely see anybody talk about it anymore... (Few years ago, it was one of the most common things I heard people talking about).. So I don't think many will complain.. Maybe a few but not many.

~Edit~

Also.. I don't expect Hircine's Hunting Grounds and Bloodmoon happening.. But I am sensing a Lich DLC coming... (It is kinda My Hearthfire Conclusion)

I have no idea what kind of person would look at such a disgusting/disturbing video, and as I said I will have to judge it some other time.

On topic: I agree I wanted to see some the Order vs Volkihar action when I heard of Skyrim because that would be awesome. Lunar transformations are a no brainer in my opinion, not sure why Bethesda didn't/haven't added them back in yet.
Yes, with all the demand for it plus the recent upsurge in popularity with more hardcoe gaming, you'd think that they would consider a way to do lunar transformations (in Skyrim's case, it would be non-Companions werewolves) while not messing with the players that don't want them too much. It is possible to accomplish this, but they would have to be willing to put time and effort here, which may or may not happen depending on what else they are doing. They do listen and take into consideration what people want, though, so anything is possible.

I'm still waiting for the feature to catch lycanthropy from wild werewolves. Any day beth. Any day.
The mod Tales of Lycanthropy allows you to become a werewolf by being attacked by one, so it is possible to do this.

Anyway, back on topic. It would be nice if the PC version would ever have the .psc files released, so that development on mods like Tales of Lycanthropy can actually continue. All the new bugs are annoying as well. :swear:

I'm actually not a fan of forced Lunar Transformations BUT I do wish for Wild Werewolves and for these to give you a wild Lycan disease that is forced Lunar Transformation, and such.. Mainly because of lore, and such.. Hm.. I do hope this happens in a patch sooner or later.. Not really in a DLC..Maybe. Idk.. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I wanted to see lore friendly Volkihar against the Order, in an all out battle against each other. I also wanted to see werebears, and lunar transformations.

Dang VideoGameMage do you stalk me from thread to thread! You are in every thread I am.
Naw! she's my friendly stalker! :D -points at sig to prove it-

For my vote though no lich based DLC.. we already have enough of those evil buggers in Skyrim, except Beth calls them Dragon Priests. Sure fire ticket to a reload if you're not prepaired is what I call them. Dawnguard gave us all our necro fix already. Anything more would be like trying to paste more teets onto a dairy cow.
I'd love to build my own home but most of all I want to finaly make the darn civil war feel finished and crown my character Highking of Skyrim gosh darn it!

Cats are far scarier than bears, in some circumstances.

One might think that some of you would know better than to fully derail a thread, and then continue on when some posts had been removed. :stare: Not only is it rude to the Thread starter, who made an effort to keep you all on topics, it's spammy and against forum rules. I'm sure you'll enjoy hearing from me via PM. Not.

Stuff i would like to see:
Dawnguard
Pole arms (spears, axes, etc) I actually think that the two-handed weapons (minus the Great sword) are pole arms, because they are poles with an axe/hammer on the end
MAYBE Muskets, i mean we can make potions that bring you back from the brink of death, but we can't mix up some gunpowder?
More cool hats
I agree with the were-crocodiles/were-lions for the beast races
more crossbow types
the Snow Elves making a full recovery and becoming a playable race
Make and enchant arrows/bolts
illusion creatures, illusion spells that make creatures for low magic cost, but they don't do any damage.\
More fun spells, magic could really be so much more.
And a AK47 in zombies.

Any comments/ questions?

There aren't such things I waited but never got. Only thing I waited for was crossbows and I got them. I'm glad that they made crossbow appearance and wielding to look and feel so realistic. I'm 100% satisfied with what I got.

I don't remember wanting much in Dawnguard. But if we're going to be going to Coldharbour, it should be its own DLC and Shivering Isles size, or even bigger. It's the most interesting realm of Oblivion in my opinion and deserves to be the greatest DLC ever created!

Some random ones that came to mind:
  • An Immortal Shadowmere (ala. Oblivion)
  • Saddle Bags for your mount.
  • Maybe a weapons rack/hanger type thingy for your mount. It would be neat to see my bow hanging off one side, my sheathed sword on the other.
  • Wheat Mills that did more than just turn in a circle....like actually produce flour when you put wheat into them. Or pulverize any other 'ingredient' you place within.
  • Perhaps a smaller (younger) version of a dragon that can't fly, but can run really fast and look neato. As a mount that is.

1. A shorter animation for going between vampire lord and normal form.

2. Different vampire factions.

3. Werebears and wereboars.

4. More stuff involving Serana (yes I know we got a lot of unique dialogue with her but more would always be better).

5. An extended Daeadric quest for Molag Bal if you're a vampire.

6. Being able to permanently block out the sun.

7. A chu ko nu-style repeating crossbow.

8. The option to capture and torture members of the Thalmor for fun (I'll always want that no matter what :D)

Do you think they could do a DLC, with Molag Bal, Hircine, and maybe 1 other. You would have to go to each realm and complete a task to gather a piece of an ancient artifact.
