Basicly, yeh. Things you wanted in Dawnguard but never actually got it in that DLC..

For me, http://th01.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2012/225/1/d/the_elder_scrolls_v__skyrim___dawnguard_by_majdaddin_alhasi-d5azhzj.jpg

What about you?

It would have been really cool to see Khajiit and Argonians get their own type of were-creature. In other words, Argonians, rather than turning into a werewolf, they would transform into some sort of werecrocodile, and Khajiit could turn into a werelion. IMO it would make more sense that way.

That idea is actually against lore...

Oh and there are werecrocodiles down in Black Marsh, if they makes you happier at all... But sadly, we do not have a game in Black Marsh.

Well, before Dawnguard released I read rumors that a tiny piece of Morrowind would have been available. I also thought that the Forgotten Vale was in High Rock.

I wanted to see lore friendly Volkihar against the Order, in an all out battle against each other. I also wanted to see werebears, and lunar transformations.

Dang VideoGameMage do you stalk me from thread to thread! You are in every thread I am.

I don't recall if I expected a whole lot from Dawnguard.

I guess one thing that was disappointing for me was how small the Dawnguard was. I expected them to be a rather large organization, possibly at army level strength. When I saw their fort I was a little... underwhelmed.

  • A realm the size of the Shivering Isles. The realm of Coldharbour.
  • Order Vampyrum vs Volkihar vs Dawnguard.
  • Thalmor and political intrigue . . .with Order Vampyrum.
  • Cyrodiilic vampire gameplay(mostly vanilla Skyrim style with few tweaks).

I've taken to calling them "Faux-kihar," myself. I really hope that this isn't considered the canon idea of what the Volkihar are actually supposed to be. That would be very disheartening.

Please let's save the Vampire-Lore for another thread. We all have our own opinions on the matter.

Yes! I'm talking about Dracula-type individuals, snotty nobleman and women, intelligent manipulators and politicians!

We're talking Sidious/Palpatine from Star Wars here!

For Vampires

1.) The ability to actually fly/better wings

2.) Make more attack options for melee vampire lord

3.) Speed for vampires is 250 and jumping height is 300, for 200 secs when they hit in my case (LB and RB) at the same time.

4.) Sunlight damage

5.) The ability to make thralls

6.) You can go into create a character mode when you become a vampire and choose, new fangs, claws, eyes, skin, ect.

7.) People still attack you at stage 4

8.) At stage four you can look like the thrall master or activate a power called "Reveal True Form" and you look like the thrall master until you exit out of it.,

9.) When using reveal true form all your stats are boosted by 75%

10.) Stage 1: 25% normal weapon resistance Stage 2: 50% Stage 3: 75 Stage 4: immune to all except silver, daedric, dragon, and maybe one other based on level.

11.) You have the option to stay a cyrodill vampire

12.) Volkihar get more lore friendly powers.

13.) Hidden dens or "covens" where you can hideout, get supplies, and feed.

14.) Way more feeding animations

15.) Vampires can actually hunt and dive, barrel rolls, jump, tackle, or grab humans to feed on.

17.) After you feed their neck is torn and bloody.

18.) The more you feed the stronger you get

19.) Vampires hand to hand is increased to 125

22.) You can block out the sun for 72hrs not 12

Wow...you really know how to crush a man's hopes and dreams. "sure, come comment on my thread, your opinion is welcome here." Then promptly pull the rug out from under them.

Werebears. Making the vampiric drain spell as strong as the NPC vamps.
This I like! ^

All very good, but I especially like the bold ^ :goodjob:

Adding my own thoughts....
I really didn't expect anything. I didn't do really any research on the DLC. I wasn't even aware of a DLC until about a month before release. I was just happy for an excuse to dust the game off and re-immerse myself :D , and I was really excited to hear that they were adding something more to the Vampires and tinkering with the Werewolves. Beyond that, I never read too much into it.
I took the same approach to this DLC as I take with many of the movies I see. If you go into the movie expecting x, your bound to be disappointed when you either don't get x or it appears differently than you expected. Just go and enjoy the show for what it is. Good, Bad, utter Crap...you can still have fun and enjoy the ride.

I am going to lay it out here for Bethesda as to what they need to do.
  • Add werebears, by the Nine Bethesda please!
  • Lunar transformations for both werewolves and werebears, please for the love of Molag Bal Bethesda!!!!!
  • The Order, aka Cyrodiilic vampires for anyone that didn't know, who fight against the "Volkihar"
  • A werewolf group, like a tribe that lives in its own little place that worships Hircine, and ENJOYS Lycanthropy.
  • A DLC that lets us go to Hircine's realm, this could be how they incorporate werebears, and the normal Lycanthropy strain, and doing this they could take us back to Solstheim to seehow it has changed with the Dunmer there.
After those I am fair game for whatever Bethesda wants to add.

Bring it on, friend! I dare you!
Ok I admit defeat after that.

On topic: I think with the ES:Online, we might not see Coldharbour in Skyrim at all. Maybe if it wasn't being made, we had a good chance of seeing it.
There's still a chance to see Coldharbour in a future TES game. Maybe Beth will make another Vampire DLC in the next game.

I personally rather see Hircine's Hunting Grounds over Coldharbour... And there is still a very small chance of Beth making Hircine's Hunting Grounds possible via another Bloodmoon..

As would I, but I don't think we will see either the Hunting Grounds, or Coldharbour in Skyrim's DLC because people will complain it is cliche, and to appeal to the Twilight lovers, and all that. Which is absolute bull because some people have liked this stuff since before it became popular.
