This game is nothing special, who agree with me?

Solid graphics? Ahahahahah. Come on. Which game have you played the last time? A 2006 indie game?

You know what? You're right. The game has amazing graphics.

Uh-oh, the vitriolic fan-boys who started gaming 2 years ago are out in full force and raging over someone's opinion. Like that doesn't happen all the time.

I also agree with the OP, the game certainly isn't a 9.5 out of 10. Dated graphics, terrible UI, bugs, weak AI, over-streamlined... and I haven't even played too far into it yet.

Also, the animations are bad? A dragon circling a mountain then flying down to you scorching you and then landing, is a bad animation?

That's an action, not an animation.

OH GOD THE GRAPHICS ARENT LIKE REAL LIFE? SHAME ON YOU BETHESDA!!!!! BAD GRAPHIXXXX OMG LOOKS LIKE OLD PC GAEM

Seriously, all people care about are graphics these days. I feel like I'm the only one with a few select people that even care about the story/lore of the game itself.

OP seems to be having issues that are his own systems fault aka his fault.

I personally hated The Witcher 2 and I love this game.

This game is just fantastic.

Also for graphics, I am on high only and look at these:

May spoil areas so look if you don't want to discover for yourself :P

So my whole question to you is this....If you don't like the game and are just going to argue against anything that is being said without any real descriptive information about why you disliked certain parts of the game....why are you even here posting? Clearly this game isn't for you and you've obviously read reviews. If those reviews don't change your mind how are we going to change your mind. We are going to tell you EXACTLY what those reviews are telling you.

Graphics wise you are either completely lying about your PC specs or you need to set the game up properly and update your drivers. I play on Ultra with a bunch of extra stuff enabled and i have a high frame rate with no stuttering with a worse computer than yours.

Please explain this statement.

This thread makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Well basically, Skyrim or any other game really popular game aside from maybe perhaps Dark Souls, are as frustrating as other games used to be. This is what one of the other posters requested the game to be, but I just stated that, that won't happen on an as popular game as this.

Really The Witcher 2? The game was average at best in a few spots and very disappointing in most.

Honestly I think the only people that think this game was great are referring to the fact that it had nudity and you could pay for six.

Giving this game 9.5/10 is simply incredible.

This game constantly crashes, has a horrible framerate also on ultra high end configurations despite the really bad graphics (2007pc game are far better than this in terms of graphics quality), if you see a shadow sometime in the game you are lucky,
the player has no voice, the textures are blurry and very low detail, the sound effect is really basic and repetitive, the menu is tricky, the animations
are bad, most characters slides instead of walking, no particles, no shaders, the water seems to be a texture, the smoke is something seen in Quake 3 Arena.
the story is really fragmented and difficult to follow for a first time player of the saga, I played several hours but I don't understood who I am, how I'm there and why.
The first hour of the game is something like, take this letter here and than give this letter to x and than give this object to y.
The mouse movement is strange, it seems to use a pad instead of a mouse.

I'm playing since many hours but this game is not engaging me, I'm continuing to play just to understand how people can say that this
is a great game, should I see something that will change my thinking?

What have this game that rocks?
But how can a game with such huge limitations and problems take 9.5/10 in reviews?

My specs:
Eizo FlexScan S2433WFS-BK + X-Rite DTP94B ~~ Lian Li PC-7FNWX USB 3.0
Intel I7 2600 @ 4.2GHz 1.160V ~~ Noctua NHU12-P SE2
Asus P8P67 Deluxe ~~ Corsair Vengeance PC-12800 - 1600MHz - CAS8 - 2x4GB - 1.5V
Corsair F120 - 120GB ~~ Western Digital Black - 2TB - 2002FAEX - SATAIII - 6gbps
Western Digital My Book 3.0 2TB ~~ 2x Zotac NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 SLI
Enermax MODU87+ 700W ~~ APC Power-Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500VA 865W

I think the board just went back in time 10 years, to when that claim from every other gamer was just starting to wear itself out. Graphics are important, just like every other aspect of the game. If you think that someone said graphics are the only thing that matters, then you probably misread.

The bottom line always seems to be this:

A certain percentage of players always expect a game- whatever game- that they really want to have and wait a long time for, to be 'the best' at everything. Best graphics- groundbreaking maybe. But "best' graphics. "Best" story. "Best" combat. Best this best that. Everything.

If it's not, they say "this part svcks" or "this isn't good" or "this game is rotten", and then they start picking things apart.

I see it in this thread and I'll use it as an example: 'mediocre graphics'. BS. The graphics are quite good, they are just not groundbreaking or the cutting edge of gaming graphics. That doesn't mean they aren't quite good or even damn good. They just aren't the tip of the top best. Frankly the graphics overall are quite good in Skyrim- just not the top of the heap, A number one state of the art.

But people will say "they svck" because that's how we communicate nowadays. We deal in nothing but superlatives and we try to get our points across by making overstatements, which not only reduces our own arguments and standpoints to useless bickering, it prevents us from saying what we really mean and makes it harder for other members to understand what we post.

Basically, we communicate horribly so we flame each other

You should care too. It's a videogame. If the story is the only thing you care, read books. If you play videogames, start caring about the graphics.

They look great to me. The Witcher 3 is quite simply the best looking RPG to ever be released in my opinion. Aside from that, Skyrim looks great to me.

Oh you just didn't bring Zelda into the picture lol best games to ever be made besides Elder Scrolls games that is..

I'm not sure I understand - I loved Zelda as much as the next guy, and I love Skyrim AT LEAST as much as the next guy.

It seems as though you and I couldn't disagree more.

Oh, and by the way, get off your damn high horse and stop acting like a pompous ass. Just because you don't like the game doesn't mean that your some sort of connoisseur of gaming.

*Snip*
The Witcher 2 literally lasted 10 hours. Not to mention I think Skyrim has far superior combat to the Witcher 2. Steel sword/silver sword. 5 spells. 10 potions. Sloppy mechanics.

I mean, yes, The Witcher 2 was pretty good for 10 hours, but I never even replayed the game once. I'm already creeping on 50 hours in Skyrim and I feel like there is so much to do.

Yeah... The witcher was okay, but it felt like it was the size of a peanut. Not to mention they made a bunch of hoopla, about it having in-game consequences... hardly ANYTHING changed in the end-game for my, when I replayed the ending with different choices.

Anyway, I'm on about 40 hours, I've encountered many more unique situations just running around in this game, than in any other RPG.

The game seems endless... Does anyone like the random "get the bandits" quests... I LOVE EM'. A simple, yet elegant way to continuously give the player things to do.

The dragon flying, landing and breathing aren't animations?
The dragon moving it's wings, setting foot on ground and the breath of fire, aren't animations? Please enlighten me.

Infact I'm not an RPG player, I play all genre and I played the witcher 2, this game seems like pacman return when compared to the witcher saga.
The problem is that the elder scrolls may be a great game some year ago but now there is games that raised the bars, if TW2 worth a 9.5/10, this game worth 6/10 for everything,
story, gameplay, quests, graphics, sounds, performance, problems hiccups, this game is really years behing the new RPG that raised the bars.

I think the discussion is over. You're not an RPG player, which is perfectly fine. Your individual tastes just aren't suited by the game. Your grammar is really sloppy, so I'm not sure what you mean by "this game is really years behing [sic] the new RPG that raised the bars" I don't think that's a fair argument since Skyrim is definitely one of the most advanced titles out now. You sound like a whiny troll, and I'm sort of confused why you're posting on here. Exchange the game for something else. It'd be one thing if you came in here asking about a repairable bug or something, but you came here to list your grievances---something we can't help you with. Move along, please.

Must be something wrong with your computer, because you have better specs then me, but everything is running perfectly smooth on maxed-ultra with little to no issues with my 20 hours played already on my laptop.

svcks to be you :(

As for nothing special?
whats not special about it? no other game does what it does better... its bigger and more detailed open world then any other... that's the definition of special.
