Too much make-up?

There is no such thing as too much makeup. There's only never enough when you most need it.

some modder is going to make an anime race that's even more dolled up than what you've seen and really make the game un-immersive. look like crap. Cater to different aesthetic preferences.

Fixed.

Fixed fixed.

re: makeup.

Remember Oblivion's character creator? With sliders for to darken or lighten the eyeliner, eyesockets, lips, cheeks? Yeah.

------
Also, if "oh, look.... a bare amount of lipstick and eyeliner" is too much makeup..... hmm.

Additionally, I find those presets ugly as heck.... dirty, grungy, wrinkley.... I'm looking forward/hoping to make something more like that barmaid.

And finally.... yes, it may not completely match the "realistic" hygiene and appearance standards of a medieval society, to have eyeliner and other stuff on the average townsperson. But it's not being designed to be seen by 1) "realism" nuts, or 2) historians. The game is being designed to be seen and appreciated by general audiences with modern sensibilities and aesthetic ideals. So, just like TV and the movies, it's not going to be historically accurate/"realistic". It's going to be "Hollywood accurate"... In other words, it's going to look like what modern people think medieval & rugged is. Better teeth, better skin, better hair.... kind of like how "ugly" characters on TV are still pretty by more rational standards. (Unless, of course, they're badguys.)

I don't know what you are seeing. i see SOME dark lip colors and some tatoos and maybe paint. i don't see prissy females at all. No perfect skin or rosy cheeks.

Looks good to me. I'm sure there will be some old hags with no makeup to make you happy.

i just hope they arent all like that. the ones with stable lives who live in citys, definetly should have a little bit of make up. but i dont want to see many members of the the thieves guild with it on.

I like war paint not make up

Don't know how they got it in the age

Also I don't think you HAVE to have your character wear make up thank god,

Am I the ONLY one who thinks the preset faces that we have seen look once again to shiny? Like their faces are super oily?

Hopefully we won't have to type in showracemenu into the console to put on some war paint.

No, I'm afraid I did not. Name two of my posts which were offensive in any way. I am sure you will have a hard time finding them.

Errr.. what? What exactly was offensive about that post..? I was BARELY even replying to you, I simply added a little comment regarding changing the player character's appearence.

...If the amount of make-up on females in the game is what people are complaining about now, I'm gonna assume it's pretty much the most perfect game ever made.

You quoted me, thus responding to me, maybe it my knowledge of how you are to most people that changed my judgment of you? IDK

I'm hoping we can make 'em without makeup.

They're presets with the purpose of showing off what can be done in character gen. Of course you don't need to wear makeup. We've seen many female NPC's in game without makeup. The most recent GI and PC gamer screes show that.
