Too much make-up?

Post » Mon Nov 28, 2011 6:53 pm

I think that all the female NPC's know that if they want any chance of marrying my PC that they better look great. Because of this makeup is the most important thing to them.

Indeed, I am going to wait until Skyrim is released before creating another topic that would continue this discussion.

Not every female's goal in life is to get married.

I just love how you outright refused to properly discuss this topic.

But those are pictures of meth addicts.

and no, I have no idea why on earth I'm responding to an obvious troll post.

I'm not trolling, just giving an example of oppisites of "Barbie". Can you give a link of an official screen shot portraying a female NPC wearing lipstick, blush or eye shadow with a hue?

It isn't "super trivial" to me, but then again opinions ARE subjective.
It seems you're just arguing for the sake of arguing. There is no point to your posts and it seems to me that you're just here to cause trouble.

Just two examples out of many. Every single one of the female presets has lipstick and eyeliner on.

I'm not "just here to cause trouble", im here beacuse i want to discuss meaningful things about my most anticaped game of the year. I dont think they have too much makeup but thats just my opinion. And others have stated that or given examples to show their opinion. All of wich you shove away stating them as "troll posts". It seems the same can be said for you about arguing for the sake of arguing. And i was keeping that post in good spirits and that may not have trsnslated onto the internet. So im very sorry if you misread my post as trying to cause trouble, that was not my intention.

Well yeah it's the character creator, theres even makeup/war paint for the guys LOL. Are you worried you cant control yourself into making a barbie character? I just dont understand the logic behind your complaint. You can use the tone slider and make your Imperial female green skined as well, doesnt mean thats what your going to be seeing as far as NPCs are concerned. I think for the sake of argument I'll take the other guys advise and come back to judge after I play the game....

It will be in my game.

Honestly though I said yes, but I don't think this will be a problem. I think we will see bandit females with dirty faces and tavern wench's with clean faces.

I shoved away posts that were clearly troll posts. I did respond to the meaningful ones, which unfortunately did not include yours.
You still haven't explained WHY you believe the things you believe in.

That's a good point. We'll just have to wait and see. I just don't like how every preset is wearing makeup. Makes me feel a bit uneasy.

You could always role play this issue until a mod comes out, of if your on a console just continue to role-play the make-up issue.

200years after Oblivion makeup could have been developed and became a popularity, even such as the tattoos are a popularity amounts to everyone. You could also consider it to be a "Skyrim" regional thing that is popular with the Skyrim women or perhaps Skyrim people are more elegant?

Just some ideas. That way, it indeed wouldn't completely ruin your thought on why women have so much makeup.

As far a clothing goes, perhaps makeup and tattoos are the more prominent items recently discovered as clothing is somewhat already established.

I just dont. There dosent have to be a reason for me to beleive they dont have too much makeup. I looked at the images and honestly it never bothered me. Thats why "i beleive the things i beleive in". And your description of troll posts are very different from mine.

It's hard for me to roleplay that, because I know it just isn't true. Skyrim people more elegant? please.

Very well, then. I guess there is nothing more to say. You disagree with my opinion and that's fine.

Seems like every female in skyrim has loads of makeup on, yet walks around in rugged, dirty clothing. That.. doesn't make any sense to me. ANY woman would rather buy a good weapon to protect herself or even better clothing or armour rather than makeup.

Maybe makeup is cheap... just like the women.

I called you out on your mistake, I don't see what's so wrong with that. Am I not allowed to do that now? I guess we should all be good to each other. END OF LINE!

I don't really get it? The women sure looks prettier than the ones in Oblivion (damn, the "woman" in Oblivion even looked like men) but so do the men aswell. I don't see any sign of "make-up", they are just sixier, and so are the men, but the men aren't "accused" of wearing make-up? Your point is abit.. odd imo.

I can speak for myself and several else, there are really no special make-up on the woman, I think it's just you :)

Saying that the people of Skyrim are elegant is an opinion (a rather odd one yes), not somthing that can either be right or wrong. But i guess he isint allowed to voice those opinions.

As a woman who will be playing a female character, I want my character to be pretty... That tends to mean make-up! Also, I don't think that our infamous blonde barmaid is wearing too much makeup, and in some of the presets, I don't see a whole lot of make up. Some are a little overdone (like my avatar), but others look pretty plain. So I think there's going to be a pretty good mix of supermodel with "someone just woke up" looks.

And besides, you know it still won't be good enough, some modder is going to make an anime race that's even more dolled up than what you've seen and really make the game un-immersive.
