Will we get DLC/expansion info before E3 even?

:/

well, guess there is really not much more to discuss?

Only thing left we already know... Bethesda has told us absolutely nothing about DLC besides that they are making it...

I mean, I undestand the secrecy to keep spoilers and excitment but can't they just give us something? Anything to decipher?

I mean before skyrim we had the dragon language and plenty of pretty screens to pick to death.... but they act like they are not going to tell us anything at all until it is ready to shove onto XBL marketplace.

The are *cough* hyping up their other games like mad... its not like skyrim DLC doesn't deserve a little.

Think Pete would respond to giving us a ballpark estimate for ANY new info?

Really this is a dead horse that we keep poking... until they decide were privileged enough to know what the DLC is or even a hint... what can be said that hasn't already been said?

E3 is a really expensive event that usually people only get to see on TV. But its normally where many of the next years games are announced.

Its basically a big show for all game companies to show us what they have been doing in secret.

Or that's the reason I watch it anyway... The feeling I got when Todd walked out on the stage and said Elder scrolls was the most Sqee moment I have ever had for a video game.

Meh.... It makes me sad but i'm ready to let the discussion die if everyone else is.

Bethesda... please give us SOMETHING to talk about so we don't have to listen to "console wars and dis game so buggy" for the rest of the month :/

The community actually came together without being filled with hatred for a little while there.

It's actually pretty nice around here when we have something to chew on.

Wa...wa....waaaaaaaaa.....

Bethesda just tainted the Dishonored trailer. If you look at the comments of the blog entry, people are commenting how disappointed they are that it wasn't DLC related. I am betting that's the story the gaming news/blog sites will cover. That's way more juicy than a trailer for a game. What a PR/Marketing blunder. Someone needs to give Bethesda marketing some social media training. Teasers work great to feed excitement that already exists. If everyone is asking about Skyrim DLC and you tease them with a generic image, EVERYONE will immediately assume it is about the DLC.

As a form of damage control, Bethesda may now quickly have to throw together a DLC announcement ahead of schedule . They certainly don't want the major focus of Dishonored trailer to be what it wasn't.

Honestly, I am amazed they sit back and watched this thing snowball yesterday. When Twitter and blogs blew up yesterday that a Skyrim DLC annoucment was inevitable, they should have clarified. I guess they thought all buzz is good buzz. That whole "Bethesda makes more games than Skyrim" re-tweet was WAY too little, WAY too late.

Whatever they do, I hope they add a ton of new armor and weapon models to the game. There are wayyyy too few.

I remember picking up a book in some dungeon, maybe "Children of the Sky" or one similar. It talks about the Nords wearing the fur of local wildlife and whatnot. There is absolutely nothing in game. There's the one set of bear armor that's unique to Stormcloaks, there's Hide and Fur Armor...that's it. Why isn't there a Sabre Cat set, a Troll set, Wolf fur, Mammoth Armor, etc, etc etc.? I get all of these pelts and things from the animals I kill but I can't use them in any way?

Even heavy armor feels lacking. There's just not enough stuff to wear in the game. I've been stuck in Leather Armor for way too long.

Honestly? I'm more anxious for a v1.6 patch than for DLC.

Yeah it very quickly gets boring. People ask you to collect special swords which are just generic weapons with a new name. They need to do it borderlands 2 style and have loads of different visual differences on weapons and armour, not just different names/ enchantments.

You also have to be an active worker in the game industry to go as well.

I'm actually glad the news was dishonored related, that way Beth can continue to focus on fixing Skyrim which is infinitely more important then DLC. PS3 Version is still broke as of 1.5 and I doubt Beth will actually fix it fully.

I have no problem with that. I'm hoping for a 1.6 beta any day now. Once they undo the damage inflicted on archery and give us a kill cam toggle, I'll be ready for DLC. The simple fact is, I will not spend one penny more on Skyrim... not one single penny until archery is fixed.

The team is not made up entirely of programmers :/

Would you want them to just stop paying the artists level designers writers and music composers until the ps3 version is fixed?

Not that the ps3 version doesn't need to be fixed but you must remember behesda are people too. If they just stopped everything until bugs were fixed many people would lose jobs and they would fall apart.

No offense, just a lot of people are saying they do not want Bethesda to do anything until they fix all the bugs.

I'm hoping they expand more on the lore of souls and soul trapping, hopefully M'Aiq's comment was foreshadowing more than just that one quest that may count.
