Woot! http://www.rpgamer.com/news/Q1-2012/021712a.html. Well, in Europe anyway, but it's nice to see some underrated gems from Atlus get re-released.

I've heard of those games but never played them. Maybe i'll give them a shot then.

Are they PS1 or 2 games?

Sounds like we'll be getting it much faster than Birth by Sleep. ^_^

Recollections includes a look back at the happenings of Kingdom Hearts 3D. Chronicle, shown above, includes a look further back, at all the past Kingdom Hearts games. You'll be able to see a summary of the stories of Birth By Sleep, Kingdom Hearts, 358/2 Days and so-forth. This will give those who are new to the series a chance to get up to speed.

That feature should probably be included in every game from this point onward.

I'm play FFXIII-2 and the game is pretty good. I have about 100 or so fragments out of 160. I'm on the final chapter I think. Last night I came within about a third of a bar from killing a Long Gui. I never beat the ones in FFXIII so I was quite surprised to see how close I actually got with Serah and Noel. Has anybody else beat this game yet? I'm still trying to find a wilde artefact so I can open up a gate in Oerba 300-AF-.

Beat it a few weeks ago with around 130 fragments. I haven't gone back to do the paradox endings yet.

And yeah, some of the artefacts were hard to find. I ended up skipping on the one at Serendipity on account of how unappealing gambling was and then completely forgot about it. Checked pretty much every other time and area before I realized it. I also missed the one in Augusta Tower, which was the second to last one I picked up.

Here's a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKO_4QUPOA0 showing all the locations in case you get stumped.

I have all of them(the SMT series) except Nocturne..and I've passed that game up 3 times so far. Blah next time I see it, I'll get it.

@Seti18 - Consider the fact that Europe has a long standing history with getting the short end of the stick in game releases. Ah hell, they never even got Suikoden III, and they are *usually* the last country to get a release, and it's always been way late.

http://www.siliconera.com/2012/02/21/etrian-odyssey-iv-sailing-to-3ds-with-more-approachable-casual-difficulty-level/

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legend of the Giant God was revealed along with seven jobs. Players can choose swordsman, medic, fortress, rune master, nightseeker, sniper or dancer. Atlus aims to make Etrian Odyssey IV more approachable than previous games with an additional casual difficulty setting. Beginners can choose this while seasoned Etrian Odyssey adventurers can pick normal. The difficulty setting can be changed at anytime during the game so players who want more of a challenge can switch to normal.

I'm enjoying XIII-2 so far, the battle system is actually fun to use, wasn't expecting that. Also I love the monsters as a 3rd companion. Saving anywhere is a godsend probably my favorite new feature in 13-2.

I just can't help but think Xenosaga II and III are very cleverly made remakes of Xenosaga I.. Or perhaps it this feeling of repetitiveness that was Monoliths intent to support the primary goal of the main antagonist.

I don't know how you did it, but congratulations on playing Xenosaga I long enough to be able to make a conclusion like that. Those cut-scenes ruined (for me) what seemed like a really good game.

Same here, I never finished Xenosaga even though I was rather hyped about the game while it was in development. Still bought Xenosaga II though, but barely played it at all. And ignored Xenosaga III.

I'm really hoping Trails in the Sky seeing as I doubt we'll be getting Zero no Kiseki on PSP. Then there's Ao no Kiseki...

Just a bunch of screenshots. Doesn't look too bad for what was originally a Wii game. Tales of Graces f comes out in North America on March 13.

It talks about which aspects Japanese games are better at than Western ones.

I completely agree with the "Melodrama" point. That's what gets me every time with most JRPGs. The intricacies of characters and their stories. I mean, I actually feel an emotional attachment to the characters from the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts games.

I never finished Xenosaga(25 hours) but I finished Xenosaga II(30hours) III(65 hours). although beating Erde Kaiser Sigma without Dark Erde Kaiser would have been a strong accomplishment and I almost did it -.-. I don't know why I didn't finish Episode I.

Xenosaga II, well I think I was(keyword) the only supporter of that game. I stuck with it til the very end, and I have to admit, a lot of my soul was burned away trying to deal with that game's incredibly horrible battle system. Whenever I talk about that game, all I can talk about is how a nightmare it is to fight.

Xenosaga III had it right though.

But anyway, yeah they basically repeat themselves. You pretty much visit the same "planet"(ahem) in all 3 games and see the SAME events but under difference circumstances. Only the 3rd time, the outcome is different.

Heh brilliant, there monolifth. Too bad your mean big brother SE wouldn't let you have Xenogears.

The massive amount of cutscenes(the game has 4 hours worth of cutscenes, almost as long as the movie Titanic) was ok to me. Sometimes I prefer to watch than play, as I'm really only playing RPGs for the storylines.

I disagree. The Ep III battle system was justa generic Final Fantasy rip off. The thing i remember about Ep II's battle system is elmental combos. Chaning fire damage made short work that optional sewer boss. Ep 3 had better ES battles though.

Following a remake of Innocent Sin, released in April of last year, Atlus will release the PSP remake of Eternal Punishment on May 17.
The PSP version will include new scenarios, improved load times, a new opening animation from Mad House, and the choice of original and refined background music.

I really enjoyed Xenosaga Episode I but Episode II really turned me off to the series which is too bad as I really liked the first game. I never did get around to picking up Episode III either but I would like to eventually finish the series.

I should eventually play through them and maybe, hopefully, have a better understanding of the battle system and possibly cope with it a bit better.

So, I heard somewhere that Final Fantasy X is getting the HD remaster treatment and being rereleased on PS3. Any truth? I would so love to replay one of my favorite games (of ever, mainly due to nostalgia).
