They didn't really want compensation for the publicity per se, I believe they actually simply wanted payment for appearing at a press event, especially since they were a pretty big attraction there. I can't really blame them, considering they had to put everything else to do with their work on hold to fly halfway across the world for the second time in as many months.

It covers all the arguements and I agree with all of what he has to say about it. Notch just doesn't understand British humor and the idea that who are essentially celberities should be paid to do signing sessions and panels on the other side of the world when they have a busy schedule.
