Pretty slick forum. Very clean, and the Paypal/Server online boxes are quite useful - I set up my first (of many, hopefully) wee donation, since it was so easy. Well done, Tank.

Thanks for the donation. The amount donated widget doesn't sync to any amount, so it is just updated manually when I see the donation come in. I'll have to work on learning some code to implement auto tracking donations.

Standard minecraft server resuming normal operations for now. I'll do the tinkering on a new test server for the time being.

If thats the case then it could really throw a spanner in the works if anybody updates accidentally. I'm deleting my files and making a clean 1.00 install just in case, I haven't installed technic SMP yet.

Just tried to join, can't.
Apparently I don't have a whole list of the mods, right after installing the Technic pack the same way I did last night (worked then)

Mostly all RedPower and a IC2 one, are these separate from Technic or something
It wants RedPowerMachine-2.0pr4b but I have RedPowerMachine-2.0pr4c ?

EDIT 3: Ok I think its because Technic has been update to 1.1.3 and I think you guys have 1.1.1 or 2 ? http://technicpack.net/?page_id=290

Did you try downloading Tank's download two or so pages back? It has the proper version ot Technic for the server included inside of it.

Built a memorial to the old 'spawncano', where some of us first spawned at when we joined the Technic map. Don't want to spoil the reason there's a memorial, go see yourselves. :whistling:

Well, yesterday was the Day of the Quarry- multiple operations hit the 11 diamond landmark and got our first quarries up and operating.

For those fellow quarriers, I will say if you don't know, lava buckets will power a single steam engine for 15 minutes. 3 steam engines provide enough power for the quarry to make what seems to be relatively goods speed. And at no point did any of my steam engines even go green.

With my setup I'd rather use Tin Engines, if Forestry wasn't the earleist version ported to 1.0. :down:

I used 2 combustion engines and a redstone engine to power my SSP quarry. I also had a pump feeding water to the engines form a nearby lake. I could leave the quarry alone and go off doing whatever without having to watch it.

Since 1.1 is live, Tanks Tekkit pack won't work. Just use the bat file as the MC 1.1 install until everything is udated.

Enough to prompt Jens to reobfuscate the code, so mods will take a long time to update. No Modding API yet.

Aside from that:
- Bow Enchantments
- New Golden Apple recipe
- New language translations.
- Slightly smoothed color transitions between biomes
- Reduced brewing time to 20 seconds
- Added spawn eggs to creative (the colors of the eggs even look like the mobs)
- Added world type options (currently only super-flat and default)
- Removed collision box from ladders
- Sheep eat grass and regain their wool
Plus many bug fixes!



(and when will we have a forge compatable Mine Little Pony)
When it's being worked on. It doesn't look like it'll be anytime soon.

Game is officially released, and yet they still have mod breaking updates. That is awesome. Guess the Aether Mod won't be up-to-date ever again.

The mods are breaking because they either do or rely upon mods that modify the very game jar itself, and the code is obfuscated to help prevent the code from being stolen and used by others. Effective? No, but it's better than nothing.


Also, the Aether mod not updating for 1.8.1 was a team decision, as was waiting until Christmas for the 1.0 release.

EDIT: Figured it out, DO NOT update.

Download Tanks Tekkit zip and follow the instructions up to step 2. Then skip to step 7 and rename to Minecraft 1.1, then use the bat to launch MC 1.1
