im not on because i don't have very much free time right now, any i do end up having is spent passing out over exhaustion.
although again, it is not necessary to have to change maps because of the change of chunk generation between 1.1 and 1.2. the only problem would be some weird bits at the borders of previous exploration but other wise every thing would generate as intended. unless people are wanting jungle biomes close by, there is no benefit to starting a new map.
Well, yeah. I know you and a few others either grew bored or are just plain busy, it's the users who gripe about there being 'nothing to do' after they have it all, then when a map change comes up, instead of practicing to make something in preperation for the new map, they just go 'whatever, no point' and you don't see them until the new map. It's kind of silly people seeming to want to keep their stuff and have new things to explore.
As for map changes, I dunno, I figured changing to fresh maps produces the best results. Especially things like the Tekkit map. Say it was explored 5k in all directions, you'd have to walk 5k just in hopes of a jungle biome spawning. It's best to just get a new map in those cases.
