thoses are not standing stones. look at the scafolding and architecture style, it's similar to mirak temple
could the new enemy be building his own forteress/temple ...

http://i.imgur.com/TGLpk.jpg

thoses are basic redoran huts, low end, made of chitin and mudcrab shells
a redoran palace would need an emperor crab shell, a creature the size of the blue palace

http://i.imgur.com/vWbdc.jpg

basic telvani mushroom houses, grown by telvani mages, usually for workers and traders

http://i.imgur.com/lgnUK.jpg

that's the interior of a telvani tower
there may be more than one
we see the player raise a telvani tower from the ground using magic in the video
presumably a player house, that's how tevani towers are built, using magic

http://i.imgur.com/yjU6P.jpg

doesn't look like bonemold to me
some sort of dragonscale variant perhaps ?

http://i.imgur.com/a7bAn.jpg

this is not stalhrim armor,
it's just a riekling hunting party
the stalhrim armor look like ice shards

mmm the picture was wrong, but using the video link I saw the image just before that
it is blue, somewhat like ice shards ... could be it
appear a lot less bulky than the morrowind version, not a bad thing

at 0:20 in the video you see a skaal house in the skaal village, just behind the skaal chieftain

at 0:26 might be karstag castle, located inside a glacier

at 0:31 some nordic tomb, obviously

at 0:37 faendal says he doesn't like the look of that ! (bad guy forteress ?)

at 0:44 the player is raising (building) his own telvani tower using mighty telvani magic

at 0:45 could be the same process going on
but I can't help but find the wall in the background looks like a ghostfence

at 0:49 that coud be partial bonemold armor ??? does look chitinous
but after that when player cast some spell it look like dragonscale

at 0:53 what's that place ? look like massive ancient nord ruin

at 1:00 bear armor

at 1:05 could the girl be wearing chittin armor ?

at 1:07 almost positive this could be some partial bonemold armor
of telvani style, because the telvani guards sometime had weird mask ike theses

i've noticed something interesting: at the end, you see Miraak (i refer to the priest as Miraak because i think Miraak is a DP name) standing on a dragon carcass absorbing the soul.
His pose, the dragon's ragdoll, the soul, the burning, camera movement etc is almost identical to the final scene of the Skyrim trailer. in fact the only difference seems to be that it is Miraak, not the dovahkiin, and the scene is longer (because the camera pans slower)

also, Apocrypha looks a lot like how i pictured it.

STOP.

Let's keep this simple.

The bad dood we see in that promo video is apparently a dragon priest. All the Skyrim DP's are dead (or undead if you haven't entered all their lairs yet and killed them to take their masks.) So this dood is the last Dragon Priest.

If I understood the Video correctly, it states that this dood did NOT bow to the Dragons, but was very good at stomping them. That's one point in his favor.

The video also states the following:
- this dood ruled over Solstheim.
- He seeks to return, in the same way that the Dragons are trying to return to the world. He's either in some wierd undead state, or he's not in Nirn, but trapped somewhere else. I can't think of any alternate explanation than these two.
- At the end of the video, it is CLEARLY stated that HE WAS THE FIRST DRAGONBORN. Oh dear.

So:
For this dood to be the first dragonborn, he was around a LONG time ago in the history of Tamriel. He's a first era guy. He predates.............pretty much everyone human, I think.
Furthermore, there's nothing in the video which suggests that conflict between the first Dragonborn and the current era Dragonborn is inevitable. It only states that this dood is around and 'trying to return, like the dragons.'

That's all I think we can safely conclude.

Oh, and we can conclude something else, too:

This

Sounds

AAAAAAWWWWWWWEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE.

Actually, I thought the Lurkers were those things that looked like they were 'vomiting/spewing" stuff... Which, if you look closely- you'll see tentacles coming out of their mouths. P.S. I totally agree that they're not ascended sleepers
I thought about that too, but they may be the creatures in the patch labled as HMdaedra.
i think the floating guy is the Benthic Lurker mostly because some the animations in the files, they all involve different tentalces

BenthicLurkerHandLeftTenticles.txt
BenthicLurkerHandRightTenticles.txt
BenthicLurkerMouthTenticles.txt
BenthicLurkerStompTenticles.txt
BenthicLurkerWhipDust.txt

Also, this appears to be the attack the creature used in the trailer, you can see it says Benthic on one of the codes

Spray

MouthWhipLong:0.782
BenthicAOE:1.12033
MLh_SpellFire_Event:1.235
attackStop:3.63333

I could be very wrong though :P

well, the vibe I gathered and the fact that we're riding dragons means we're against him... I mean, what other reason would a dragon LET you ride them? "The enemy of my enemy." Apparently the return of this guy has to be bad enough for your character to ride a dragon.

yeah, i noticed this too... But here's the interesting thing and something I think they wanted to press: In the original game trailer, it showed the dragonborn standing over just ONE dragon absorbing the soul, this guy is standing over 3 dragons, absorbing their souls----- OH, AND WITHOUT A WEAPON!!!

Sooo, this guy definitely steals the thunder

Perhaps this DLC would require dealing with Alduin first and at which point you have dragons on your side then and maybe the hipster dragonborn just didint get the memo and thus we must fight.

All the Dragons are probably going to throw you a big Apology Party and beg you to kill him before he eats them all back into extinction. Which would svck, seeing as they only just got a second chance.

Seriously though, this new "old" Dragonborn definitely has this whole "shaolin monk" vibe w/ his outfit... Is he even wearing shoes?

Would be interesting if dragonscales were put to work again in crafting, dragonleather clothes!

Well, that sorta touches on something else I've been wondering- W/ the new armor/weaponry coming out- how will they sort those out in the perk tree? Add a new set of stars to the Anvil Constellation or just put them in various pre-existing Perks/types?

I can't wait! I just hope that:

1. Those robes will be good light armor for mages.

2. They use dragon smithing for improvement.

Also, did I make a new trend with the whole "Hipster Dragonborn" thing? I made a comment to that effect a number of threads ago, and it seems to have caught on. Gone mainstream, one could say. :P

I really hope all those tentacle monsters have a "eat head/brain" exclusive killmove.

I think what could most likely happen is these new armors are placed under the "advanced armors" perk or it could branch from Advanced armors -> Advanced armors 2.

1) the new stuff there is dunmer refugee houses in the form of crude redoran huts.

2) Hearthfires is really just enabling/disabling objects, no special technology there

3)In the Dragonborn trailer, we see the player ''raising a Telvani Tower'' by magical means, that's something totally different.
4) That doesn't mean there won't be a way to also build a Redoran home, but you got to kill an emperor crab first, and drag its shell .... :bunny:
That .. emperor crab thing ... is the size of the blue palace, you do realize that ?

5) the real telvani tower may be the one the player create in the video, and it seems to be massive

6) thoses are not standing stones. look at the scafolding and architecture style, it's similar to mirak temple
could the new enemy be building his own forteress/temple ...

7) the weird think that is building near some dragonpriest seems to be a temple of some sort.
it seems to be ancient nord architecture.

8) what's hermaus mora architecture, and how do you know ?
looks like ancient nord to me
is that a temple built by the first dragonborn, the enemy ?

if they unlock all of morrowind eastern borders, that would be the size

I hope you don't mind, but I've deleted the parts of your post in this quote that I'm not responding to, just to make things a little easier to respond to (And numbered).

1) They aren't crude huts. Its legitimate Redoran architecture. Compare to buildings in Redoran cities and towns in Vvardenfell.

2) Its more complicated than you give it credit for.

3) At no point in the trailer is the player growing a Telvanni tower. You're likely confused with the scene where the PC enters Apocrypha. If you look closely, you will see numerous pages as it 'unfolds' and then after, books. The architecture in that scene isn't consistent with Telvanni either.

4) You are aware that only Ald'Skar was built out of a hollowed out Emperor Crab, right?

5) See no.3

6) Standing stones on Solstheim are of different design than they are in Skyrim. Aside from the green glow, its fairly reminiscent of that design.

7) Its not really weird. Skaal have lived on Solstheim for a really long time. And the Dragon Cult were predominant here, hence why the ancient Nordic architecture is prevalent.

8) See point 3 again.
