Note the effect though (a mini blast of sorts), the slow-time shield perk doesn't give off that kind of a effect, IIRC.

Maybe the character has both Quick Reflexes and Deadly Bash on his perk tree.

Quite right!

Maybe it's when that temple gets blown up? (http://i.imgur.com/AbMiH.jpg)

That's one of the Standing Stones. It's surrounded by Hermaeus Mora architecture, and the architecture is blown up.
The actual Temple is far bigger.
Also, there is little mistake: the thing you listed as portal to Apocrypha is actually another (or the same) Standing Stone, surrounded by Hermaeus Mora stuff, but not (yet) blowing up.

Reading about the location achievement makes me happy, because I'm always one for exploring.. I'll probably take it a little slower this time and let the scenery sink in just so I can have a more enjoyable experience too.

Most likely cultists of the First Dragonborn and/or Hermaeus Mora.
The one on the right wears robes/armor resembling the Dragon Priest outfit (look it up in the trailer at 00:39)

So if this dragonborn can absorb three dragons, do you think that we will have 3 on 1 battle encounters now? PC against dragons. Or do three dragons try to face the first dragonborn.

(i dont know what to call him since the name has not been released.)

Something I have discovered right now:
At 00:23, when the camera flies over the sea and towards Solstheim, I think it's the northern coast of the island. To the right, where the strange thunderstorm is, there is the Skaal Village. With a HD version one is able to see the Nord houses. To the left is the sunken Dwemer ruin and the Telvanni Tower (the biggest Mushroom of all).
So there is something strange going on in the Skaal Village and the Telvanni indeed settled on the northern shores of the island, like theorized before.

Here's to hoping we get called a filthy N'wah the moment we step off the boat in New Raven Rock (whatever the Dunmer are calling it these days).

"Move along, scum." :D

I hope it's called Bal Raaven, like in the Pentanual Census, but that's just crazy talk.

I hope this dragonborn is so overpowered that its like a Reverred dragon against a wolf. After watching him, again, devouring those 3 dragons souls at the same time shows that he is a badass. But PC could probably do that as well if were lucky enough to kill three dragons at the same time.

In other news: seems MK was not involved in any lore writing for Dragonborn.
Makes me a bit sad.

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1421186-hold-on-saint-alissia-was-the-first-dragonborn-what-you-talkin-bout-beth/page__pid__21752948__st__120#entry21752948

A question for our lord MK:

Do you have contributed some new lore/ingame books to the Dragonborn DLC?
Apocrypha screams for a MK to fill it.
Maybe something new about the whole Dragonborn thing?

No, nothing directly contributed to Skyrim at all. The presence of painted cows and the like was all bronie-love.

C'mon, it's been awhile since I've got to actually enjoy a TES game in its entirety, cut me some slack.

(But, yes, there's a gap in the histories that has to be filled. And I will do this thing.)

But the last sentence is giving me a bright perspective for things to come.

Okay crazy theory time. I spotted three Dragonpriest/born wannabes. I say this because they all have one arm at least with golden dragon scales and a golden mask that is deformed from our dragonpriest dragonborn. One has like @ @ instead of eyeholes slits. Also they have robes that look the same. You see one from a far away. The second is a female that you kill. And the third is a male with the @ @ eyes that you also kill. My guess is these are followers of our dragonpriest dragonborn.

The interesting part is each time you kill one - the female and @ @ eyes, if you look screen by screen, their bodies release a blue aura magic thing that swirls around them, one strap. But, they don't disappear.

That's what i gathered. Maybe you have to kill them to kill part of the dragonpriest dragonborn he-who-should-not-be-named style. Probably not. But something is up.

Actually, I think the DPDB (codename for dragonpriest dragonborn :D) is trapped in Apocrypha maybe? If you look at the sky, the sky is green in the background of when he absorbs the dragon souls.

This.
The trailer states that he wants to "return" like the Dragons did.

Those are cultists of the First Dragonborn, most likely.
