Those are cultists of the First Dragonborn, most likely.

That's what I'm saying lol. I think it's cool. What I find really curious is that blue stuff that leaves them as they die.

Looks like they were under some kind of spell and it is cancelled out when they get killed.

I don't know what it is. I am just speculating like you. :)
And even if it is a spell, we don't know what kind of spell. ;)

Nice catch.

So, non-trailery speculation.

Anyone think Bethesda might surprise us and make use of the Hearthfire house building features for Dragonborn? Might be nice to have the option to get us another party pad, one with Dunmeri architecture even. To me, it seems like a bit of a waste to not make use of it given that we're off to a new(sorta) landmass.

My expectations for such an inclusion are extremely slim to none, though.

It could also be a weapon enchantment, or maybe the effect from that soul bug familiar from the gamejam!

As you said it would be cool but I don't see them releasing a dlc that is dependant in any way on another dlc

Sorry for the confusion, I wasn't suggesting it would be dependent, just that they've done the dev work already and could re-use it in other DLC.

Could the strange looking votim-spewing enemy possibly be a Scalon? Large, dark, fish-like... certainly fits the bill

In that case I just don't see them reusing the work since that would eliminate the purpose of buying HF and that would definatly be bad for business

In before complaints about there being no Dunmer children included in Dragonborn.

So it's been confirmed they're out?

In other news: seems MK was not involved in any lore writing for Dragonborn.

The magic "leaving" actually looks like the square effects from the oakflesh/stone/ect line magic cancelling out.

Is it safe to say that The Dragonborn is 'magic-inclined?' The scene at the end shows him standing above 3 dragons w/ no weapons.

I'm preeeeetty sure Vsions is just a video editor. He probably just made the trailer.

Why would being able to buy a plot of land on Solstheim to build up a Dunmeri house eliminate the purpose of Hearthfire?

****Boat Arrival into what is likely where Raven Rock was.****

wrong, that appear to be the originial landing near fort frostmoth
you see fort frostmoth in the background
the docks are nearly identical to bloodmoon

we have not seen ravenrock yet, it would be verry recognizable

the new stuff there is dunmer refugee houses in the form of crude redoran huts.
I've also seen some telvani mushroom houses

the actual telvani towerr, from the video , seems to be built by the player
but there could be other ones already built

the big ice wall looks like castle karstag

where is the list of 30 locations ?

So, non-trailery speculation.

Anyone think Bethesda might surprise us and make use of the Hearthfire house building features for Dragonborn? Might be nice to have the option to get us another party pad, one with Dunmeri architecture even. To me, it seems like a bit of a waste to not make use of it given that we're off to a new(sorta) landmass.

My expectations for such an inclusion are extremely slim to none, though.

Hearthfires is really just enabling/disabling objects, no special technology there
In the Dragonborn trailer, we see the player ''raising a Telvani Tower'' by magical means, that's something totally different.
That doesn't mean there won't be a way to also build a Redoran home, but you got to kill an emperor crab first, and drag its shell .... :bunny:
That .. emperor crab thing ... is the size of the blue palace, you do realize that ?
So Redoran would be verry different from Hearthfires too, no nails involved.

http://www.abload.de/img/00000718nxr2l.jpg

Marked the locations.
Right: Skaal Village and thunderstorm
Left: Telvanni Mushroom Tower and half sunken Dwemer ruin

The Telvani thing is just mushroom house located where fort frosthmoth used to be. still seems to be fort frostmoth in the screenshot I saw.
the telvani just built mushroom there as houses

the real telvani tower may be the one the player create in the video, and it seems to be massive

otherwise the pic you show look like solstheim seen from the east side
skaal village and frostmoth are exactly where they should be.
we haven't seen ravenrock yet it seems

the weird think that is building near some dragonpriest seems to be a temple of some sort.
it seems to be ancient nord architecture.

That's one of the Standing Stones. It's surrounded by Hermaeus Mora architecture, and the architecture is blown up.
The actual Temple is far bigger.
Also, there is little mistake: the thing you listed as portal to Apocrypha is actually another (or the same) Standing Stone, surrounded by Hermaeus Mora stuff, but not (yet) blowing up.

what's hermaus mora architecture, and how do you know ?
looks like ancient nord to me
is that a temple built by the first dragonborn, the enemy ?

That's true. We could get like half of Skyrim.

if they unlock all of morrowind eastern borders, that would be the size

Here's my opinion/speculation of some of the shots from the trailer. take it for what it is

http://imgur.com/a/l4yL2#2 - While it's pretty obvious this is a bull netch in the picture, I think the location might be Mortrag Glacier to the northwest, given the large glacial wall. Could be Castle Karstaag as well

http://imgur.com/a/l4yL2#5 & http://imgur.com/a/l4yL2#6 - I'm fairly positive that these are both shots of Apocrypha. They match the description of Apocrypha from http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Doors_of_Oblivion fairly closely, with hundreds of blank, title-less books stacked on top of each other, and ripped pages everywhere.

http://imgur.com/a/l4yL2#8- I know a few people have speculated that this might be anhttp://images.uesp.net/2/2f/MW-creature-Ascended_Sleeper.jpg from House Dagoth, I, however, disagree.
  • For one, the sleepers were created, or transformed, by Dagoth Ur using the power of the Heart of Lorkhan. Both Dagoth Ur and the Heart of Lorkhan are long gone by now, so the chance that one would survive the 200+ years since both the destruction of House Dagoth and the eruption of Vvardenfell is very slim.
  • If you look at the area the creature is in, you can see it resembles the previously mentioned shots of Apocrypha, with the walls being covered in title-less books. It wouldn't make a lot of sense for an Ascended Sleeper to be in Apocrypha,so it is definitely a daedra under Hermaeus Mora's influence, especially considering the morass of tentacles that make up the creatures body.
  • In patch 1.8, there were animations for an enemy called a "Benthic Lurker". All the animations for it involved tentacles in some way, so this creature matches the animation perfectly.
  • Sleepers have feet, this guy floats
http://imgur.com/a/l4yL2#10 - I think this guy is a follower/worshiper of the rogue http://imgur.com/a/l4yL2#11. His helmet matches the style of the Priest, and the the armor on the arms and shoulder match the style of http://images.uesp.net/3/3c/SR-creature-Dragon_Priest.jpg

Well that's what i could discern, let me know what you guys think!

Actually, I thought the Lurkers were those things that looked like they were 'vomiting/spewing" stuff... Which, if you look closely- you'll see tentacles coming out of their mouths. P.S. I totally agree that they're not ascended sleepers
