It's good to be back. And I am not saying we can't have purebloods from the Order, but I said the pureblood strain from Harkon because him and his goons are the only vampires we currently know about that are purebloods.

Indeed. But while they are currently known to be purebloods, it doesn't mean vampires who are known to worship Molag Bal cannot be purevloods.

Believe it or not, I always Rped that my characters were pureblood ever since Oblivion. I knew it wasn't far-fetched. So I guess I can sit by and kiss Bethesda's rear end along with you on this particular matter

Wait was Harkon and his family already vampire when they became purebloods, or were they human? Because to me it would make more sense if you had to be a human or werewolf to become a pureblood vampire. If you are already a vampire how can you become a pureblood vampire if you are already a vampire to begin with?

They were all human. Harkon stated that he feared death, so he made a pact with Molag Bal by offering a thousand innocent booty to Molag, and in turn he and his family would be turned.

Correction: He also had to offer his daughter and his wife's booty.

Huh that is strange, and I edited it thanks for the heads up. So did Harkon know anything about the ritual? Like that his wife and daughter would have to do that because that is messed up if he did. Also how much longer after they were turned did Serana get locked away?

My guess is she wasn't locked up immediately after being turned it was probably because of that fallout her parents had that she mentions.

I agree, you have derailed this thread long enough haha just kidding.

That is an excellent question, and the answer is because gameplay is of greater concern to Bethesda than the lore. At least that is what I think, they want players to be able to have as much fun as they can and they will do anything to make that possible even if it means blasting their lore to oblivion.
