Wait so...... is Skyrim released?

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 2:34 am

Alright so I know that Skyrim comes out of the 11th and it comes out on the 10th on Steam but I see all this pvssyr on the forums about trying out the game. So now I'm really confused, has it already come out and if so tell me where so I can travel there and get the game myself.

How can they play Skyrim if it will use steamworks, and steam controls when it unlocks?

It seems as if a lot of stores are breaking street date on this game. I have done preorder midnight launches for a lot of games over the past 5 years and I have never seen any stores releasing a game as much as this game. It must be one hell of a game to be getting released early in so many places :D

The amount of times i've read this, lol.

Not EVERYONE is getting it PC. Steam activation only affects PC Gamers.

Console players can play it. PC player can only look at the box and tenderly caress the cd and kiss it and cuddle up to it and sleep with it at night,.

It's awesome that the rest of us...Especially the PC crowd that's supported TES all these years...are just sitting around, twiddling our thumbs, waiting for an arbitrary date.

Unless they signed a contract, shops are not obliged to heed the street date.

Obviously mail-order shops need to dispatch it earlier, or you will never ever buy from them again if you get Skyrim on the 12th.

PC-Users can't install the game before release date anyway, so what. If you prefer to stand in the cold at midnight in a line before your next Gamestop, all the power to you. I expect my copy to arrive tomorrow or on thursday and spend the night in my warm comfy bed.

Netherlands broke the street date? I feel a disturbance in the force, it feels like a whole country is just about to be sued.

Edit: I would like to see the proof that stores in the Netherlands are actually selling this game though :P

Shops are obliged to heed the street date if they want to continue getting future releases on time.

If a shop breaks release date, the companies can (and will) choose not to ship them the product on time anymore.

As long as the game doesn't get spoiled for me, I don't care if some netherlanders are playing it early.

Just means your going to be bored of it that much sooner.

Yes, there are other easier, much more accessible and user friendly gaming consoles than PC.

The insignificantly better graphics and power is not worth the hassle of a PC. Console all the way.
