Want Patch 1.1 back? This might work.

Post » Fri May 18, 2012 10:49 am

This topic needs to be stickeyed until patch 1.3 comes out, I'm again having to use this thread after formatting my USB drive which removed my installation of Skyrim and therefore running 1.0

Props to the OP

As stated before it most likely wont since the stance of MS is that they consider the programs you need to get this to work as system tampering, not to say you cant do it but its more of 'at your own risk' and as much as people tell me they will 'never' ban you for it, you dont know they wont, it technically does break their ToU/CoC and just because people seem to get away with it doesnt make it ok (like speeding people do it but you can still get pulled over for it)

oh thankgod :intergalactic: thank you OP

i finally got it working not sure if the textures got worse but its better than getting that not upto date message. Worse thing was i never even downloaded the 1.2 patch prompt cme up again for the 50th time pressed cancel straight away then it moved after i had pressed it then it removed the last patch and started downloading so i ended up with out any patches after i turned it off. Bethesda should have copied this work around and pinned it to the top at least if they mess up 1.3 people can go back again(unless the new xbox dashboard update effs that up.

Is there anyway to actually install the old update so I don't have to keep the flash drive in my xbox? Right now if I leave the drive in and run the game as long as i decline the update it gives me 1.1 but if i take the flash drive out i'm back to 1.0

So you don't download it? Because it is still saying that windows can't download it because it can't find the program that made it.

I formatted mu USB on the Xbox, used the xtaf, went to "Open first USB drive" went to cache, then drug the 34F5B6C3 update into it. Its showing in the cache on the xtaf, but not on my USB. and when I run the game, it still starts the unpatched version.

What am I doing wrong here?

Are you sure it's running the un patched version you need to plug it into your xbox start the game decline the update load up your save an look in the save menu gor the number.

first of all Thank you Soooooo Much!
was 57 hrs into Skyrim on 1.1 with no issues & 1.2 made the game unplayable.

I have one question (yes i've checked my version number in game & its 1.1) but i can stil load a 1.2 save file & it still has the crazy glitches, no textures, dragons flying backwards, lag etc. anyone else had this?
Fingers crossed my 1.1 save continues to be glitch free.

huge thanks you guys are awesome!

THANK YOU to the op, this fix is genius and incredibly easy. Followed ZeroG's steps and it worked like a charm. XTAF gave me no problems, and I got back to 1.1 just fine by caching only update 34F5B6C3 onto my flash drive. Loading up 1.2 saves without a hitch as well. Confirmed fix with "the atronach test."
Again, THANKS GUYS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can someone please help me? I can't seem to get this to work.

I followed the steps and I am still on version 1.2.11.0. Before you ask, yes I cleared the cache. I believe that worked since when I start the game without my usb drive installed the game is at version 1.00.4.0.

The only file I copied to the usb drive was 34F5B6C3 (TU_11561V6_0000008000000.00000000000G2). When I boot with the USB drive installed, I don't see a version number on the title screen. When I go to the System screen it shows the version as 1.2.11.0. The atronach test confirms that I am using Patch 1.2.

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My level 41 mage is getting his butt kicked. TIA.

I used these three, not sure which one is the right one but it works with all three on the usb - I'm in Canada btw.

TU_11561V6_0000008000000.0000000000082
TU_11561V6_000000O000000.0000000000086
TU_11561V6_000000G000000.0000000000084

Using the 1.1 patch also fixed all my lag issues that I was having with 1.2 as well - particularly in the menu screens.

I currently have the game installed on one USB and the 1.1 patch on another (can't make it work with patch and game on the same USB ?) so I get the upgraded graphics without undue wear on my xbox while avoiding all the 1.2 bugs, best of both worlds. I'm not installing any new patches unless they are required for DLC - game is working and looking perfect like this. I'm over 100 hours easily.
