Watch the Dead Money DLC trailer

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 12:59 am

LOL, everybody else is drooling over all the other stuff while the first thing that I saw was that started me drooling was that sweeeeettt new adobe and tile kit! :shocking:

I've been hoping a southwestern style kit like that would come in the game and finally it looks like it has! Of course my hopes might be for naught as it's never been confirmed that this will be released for PC... :sadvaultboy: :flame:

DLC looks sick. Can't w8 for PC release.

@ all the people complaining about "losing your gear"

Are you freaking kidding? How would a DLC be fun if you got to come in with a host of high level weapons and just mowed everything down.... I enjoy having to start over, makes it an experience.

My favorite DLC was the Pitt, you started with nothing, and ended with a backpack full of auto-axes (best weapon evvver). That would've been RUINED if I had been able to bring my gatling laser in w/ me.

@ all the people complaining about "linear with some exploring"

What do you expect? I would much rather have a side story I can enjoy playing several times thatn a loose one that lets me "explore" some [censored] cave. Again, the Pitt was my favorite DLC, good story, mostly linear but had two plot lines.

How about instead of going the cliché route of "Let's have the players start all over again!" that they have high level enemies that are extremely dangerous so that the only way to clear the DLC is with a lvl 30 character with top gear?

is it just me or is the Automatic weapon shown at 31 seconds into the trailer a new weapon along with the energy weapon shown at 35 second into the trailer?

Also did any see the Hologram wearing that Dress outfit at 47 second and think that we should be able to steal it for Veronica. That looks like the dress she's been hoping to find.

I feel bad for ps3 and PC players. They'll get it, eventually. But still, I don't like that they have to wait.

Anyway, trailer looks good. Seems like it COULD be linear, but then I have high hopes since it's Obsidian. I could see them putting in a different option other than just doing what the man sais, like maybe being able to remove your collar and change paths from breaking into that vault to finding the man and putting a bullet in his head.

Thanks to everyone over at Bethesda and Obsidian for everything. I'm about to go pop in New Vegas to my 360, download the patch, and make a character in preparation of this DLC.

You're a good person. Not like those other people who gloat.

Anyway, it sounds really cool, so I'm sure I'll get it when it makes its way over to the PC.

After watching the trailer a couple of more times, honestly, the DLC seems to be really stretching on the whole "Fallout" feel.
To the point of it feeling very... "Not Fallout"...
Still, will wait until I've played it and then either call it great or awful piece of crap.

Meh I would rather be stripped then forced to wait till lvl 30.

I have saved all my run throughs right before finishing the final quest, and to be honest only 2 out of the 4 are even past lvl 20, and none are lvl 30.

As for how it looks... It looks great, but its nothing that I can't wait for.

***EDIT***
Also who is the Jack everyone keeps talking about I thinks I missed something.

Yeah, no. While it can be a gameplay related linear shooter it will have a lot of story/dialouge elements.

And you know this how? XD

Hard to be excited about DLC I can't play.

I hope Microsoft paid well for this to be exclusive. Every time Bethesda does this, they lose a little more of my respect.

This looks great, and I hope it's written by Obsidian...
Only problem is, you guessed it, I'M NOT ON THE 360!

I don't think it will stay XBox exclusive very long.
If it will, well, less money for Bethesda/Obsidian...

Surely is not going to make me buy a crappy console anytime soon.

Either way, buying it on the PS3 or PC when it's released at a later date is just condoning Bethesda's timed exclusive stance.

Especially when they charge the same price 6 months to a year later. They should be embarrassed by their actions, but instead they just keep doing it.

Not all that disappointed about it not coming to PC sooner now. Jigsaw can keep his little game.

Definitely not feeling a Fallout vibe to this.

I saw Snorks in there!

Probably 3 people understand what I just said. The safe contains the recipe for Sunset Sasparilla....duh! I think it looks more like Running Man... except that wasn't team based.....
