It could've been that. It didn't show the name and it didn't look like that. It was green and looked like a Repconn rocket. it had the posideon energy emblem on the back. You might be able to see it on G4's site.

Sure, in the X-Play preview they showed the PC using a green energy weapon that was shaped like a rocket. It said "Posideon Energy" on the back and it seemed to fire plasma. The hatchet was confirmed on the gamespot perk preview.
