What anime taught me.

You think anime is weird ?.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKeDyb7uFN8 I dont speak Japanese, but I doubt it would make sense, even if I did. There are a few other scenes, each as confusing.

There are things I dont now the source of, like some Japanese chick shooting a guy with a gatling gun... That comes out of her ass.
Japan isnt boring thats for sure.
Weird? No they are way past that. Now I need extra therapy after that video I just watched. I think it's porm but I may be wrong.

That caused extra therapy ? Well I shall show mercy, and not link the vid with the transforming guys, who shoot lasers from their crotch.

Also its not porm. From some of the stuff I have seen, Japanese porm is more confusing/traumatic.

Anime has taught me the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTzMCwWYr_I. Or you could call it the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9tgUFuCSFw. :D

It's okay though, she's just a ghost (and she likes it).

Student Councils in Japanese schools have supreme power, far surpassing teachers, and even the board of education. What they say is law.
Also Karate fighting is allowed on school grounds, and schools never lock their doors, they are open 24/7 with all of their resources available to anyone who wants them.

You just don't understand the incredibly progressive and intellectual philosophies of the great http://archivethumb.foolz.us/board/a/img/0609/29/1328422448838.jpg. http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/2649/araragikun.png

Okay I'll stop and seek help in that other thread. :P

Also, such awesome and serious (maybe even historically accurate ) anime could be made relating to Japan's rich medieval history, but then everybody finds demented pirates, bogus alchemy and depressed teens SO much more interesting.
Meh, I suppose Akira Kurosawa movies will have to suffice.

And Gosha, Kobayashi, Inagaki, and more recently, Yoji Yamada.

I don't watch anime, but I love me some chambara.

I still lack the courage to load up Kana little sister (had it several days). Good story/characters be damned.

Dude. Ponies can fly. That's about as messed up as what you mentioned.

If there is one things I don't like more than anime, it's brownies.

And. I. Eat. Brownies. For. Breakfast.

Bishonen anime is awesome, though. It's basically The Godfather as set in Japan. Still as OTT as the rest, but somehow it's more acceptable to me when the anime makes it clear you're just watching an action movie as interpreted by cartoonists. :P

Oh! Anime like Ghost Hunter and Jigoku Shoujo that deal with oni (another word I learned, meaning "demon"... I don't know the plural :P) have taught me a lot about Japanese mythology and traditional beliefs, which are totally fascinating.

Also, if you're annoying, you're indestructible. See Naruto, every cute rager girl in every anime ever, Van Dread.

You have much to learn about otaku culture, young Padawan, before a proper explanation to why you got that impression can be given, and I think that's a rabbit hole you are better off not going down. It's not for the uninitiated.
Looks like you haven't been to the dark part of the Internet yet. Good luck and Godspeed.
Don't mistake me for naive or surprised; I'm simply pointing out something that comes across as screwy (excuse the pun, I didn't notice it until I reread the sentence). Sure, there's far weirder, [censored] up, and blatant out there (just look through the TVTropes forums*), but that doesn't make anything better than it would otherwise be.

*Doing so may have decreased my tolerance when it comes to these things...

EDIT: BTW, I'm not anit-anime; I have enjoyed a few, including Samurai Champloo and Ghost In The Shell (watched at least the first two movies and SAC).

Anime taught me you don't need good animation skills to attract tons of people

You just need big, ridiculous boobs, slants for eyes, make the characters look like they are five, and make them flap their mouths up and down to say even the dandiest things.

As you can tell, I hate anime

EDIT: don't forget the cat ears! Can't forget those! Even on the dogs!

You obviously don't watch that much anime.

And if you have watched it, it was a [censored] one.

I learned that in the middle of interesting battles, characters like to just break off and have little discussions instead of getting down to [censored] killing each other! Makes me mad every time.
I can't remember where I read it, but I recall a comparison: In japanese comics, people stop between throwing punches to have lengthy discussions. In American comics, people somehow deliver two paragraphs of dialogue during the action of punching someone.
Bishonen anime is awesome, though. It's basically The Godfather as set in Japan. Still as OTT as the rest, but somehow it's more acceptable to me when the anime makes it clear you're just watching an action movie as interpreted by cartoonists.
I'm gonna guess you mean "shonen" anime, seeing as how bishonen anime means "full of pretty, pretty boys."

I couldn't even finish bakemonogatari, things just got too fan-servicey for me, from what I've seen Nisemonogatari is distilled plot... right?

I hate naruto, im not an anime expert, but I think naruto is terrible. I dont actually know anything good about it.

Speaking of good anime, I think im going to try and watch GiTS, it interested me but I could only catch random stuff on TV. Same for FMA and Big O. I wonder of there is a site that sells me dvd's, but subbed ones.

Anime DVDs are usually either dual language or subs only (if a dub hasn't been recorded).

The air in Japan is laced with LSD.

I would say that could be considered offensive if I had not seen the opening to Katamari Damacy, anime Excel Saga, and that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpqxSBclqWs. When it comes to weird the Japanese are kings and queens among men and women of the world. Only true thing to say in anime is YELLING MAKES YOU STRONGER!!! lol
