So, what are your opinions of Dawnguard so far?

If you're a PC player you have no room to talk.....If you're a PS3 player, then well.......Life just svcks for you
I know. I'm tired of consoles, so I'm just moving all my games over to PC.

Shivering Isles was $30. Dawngaurd is only $20.

YES, AND SHIVERING ISLES WAS MUCH BIGGER THAN DAWNGUARD IS.......WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO WRAP YOUR MIND AROUND?????

Okay, but Shivering Isles did all that and more......besides the perk stuff, the Shivering Isles added many more new weapons, armor, creatures, a giant new land mass, probably new spells but i can't recall, new books, and a crazy amount of new dungeons and places, and a big Main Quest and a bunch of side quests.....sorry but I'm pretty sure SI wins this one....
No, Shivering isles added ONE new spell, Didn't add new skill trees, Dawnguard actually added MORE armor, And dawnguard has way more dungeons then shivering.

if I had to look at it price wise, and see that the shivering isles cost half of oblivion, I would agree that it added about a whole other half to the game. When looking at Dawnguard, i don't know if i could agree with the statement that it has added a whole other 1/3 to Skyrim.....

Dawnguard has less content so it costs less money and SI has more content so costs more money.

People probably see SI as larger due to the fact that the SI landmass is large, piece all of DGs landmasses together and it's probably pretty close.

Not necessary. I spent 20 dollars on dark crusade and spent 60 dollars on Black ops and dark crusade lasted way longer for me.

yeah im having a big problem with the mission "Unseen Visions". I have looked up a video of how it's properly done and Serana will not follow me down to (spoiler). she stays at the beginning of the cave and after I have (spoiler) im supposed to talk to her. A cage is now in the way of where i need to be and there is nothing for me to activate to get past this. The video i watched Serana followed the Guy to(spoiler) and mine didnt. Please help me bethesda and fix this. I have loaded this 9 times to try and fix it and nothing. This has been my second major problem with this DLC but i was able to get past the first one. Dont want it to sound like im nerd raging because i really like this DLC and I want to continue to play it.

But those were made by two different companies (Relic and Treyarch). Bethesda are a bit more reasonable.

No....people see SI because it did indeed have more content in it than DG, it just also happened to add a pretty large land mass as well. Does DG have new villages and cities like SI did? No......Does DG have a giant, 2-party city like SI did? No......I can go on and on

Your acting quite childish, you assume that shivering isles is "bigger" maybe in RAW size, but in terms of new features NO WAY IN HELL,.

Did Dawnguard have a dashing man with a beard and cane by the name of Skooma Cat? Nope but this thread sure as hell does. :disguise:

YES, AND SHIVERING ISLES WAS MUCH BIGGER THAN DAWNGUARD IS.......WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO WRAP YOUR MIND AROUND?????

All SI has going for it is landmass. The Dungeons are about equal, maybe a slight towards SI. But not by much. Armor/weapon wise? I would give this is a tie. Spells? Dawnguard did add a few shouts, spells and 2 new perk trees to the few power SI added. Dawnguard wins here as well.

Also, Dawnguard did a good job integrating itself into Skyrim. Even the Soul Carin, a part of Oblivion, was integrated better than SI was. SI just felt like it's own theme, instead of an expansion; like two different games. Once you leave SI you lose your powers.

Also, there's crossbows that can be used outside of the DLC. Wild Werewolves. More creatures that integrate into the actual game, not just the DLC. Makes for a richer experience for the base game, not just the DLC.

So while SI has a bigger landmass. It was just it's own thing. Once you leave...you really can't carry your godly powers to Tamriel. Of course you kept the armor/weapons. But it never fully integrated itself like KoTN did.

Besides, one was $20 and the other was $30. Why are you complaining? Dawnguard did an excellent job adding to the base game, adding new features. Also it added weapons and armor; and new creatures. Two new story lines. New weapon type... Improved vampires. Anything less would have been a ripoff towards Bethesda.

Dawnguard makes the game better from an action standpoint imho. Its nice to see new mobs and have various quest/weapons you can play with. Altogether it has been a blast.

Your acting VERY unstable, you assume that shivering isles is "bigger" maybe in RAW size, but in terms of new features NO WAY IN HELL,.

I'm sorry but did you even play Shivering Isles? Cause I seriously don't think you could say that if you did. Yes, we all know that SI added a bigger landmass, however not once have I said that that is the reason why it had more content. Like I've written maybe 5 times now, there were more dungeons, more weapons, more armor, villages, a city....literally the list goes on.
