What are your requirements for dating someone?

She has to be smart, open-minded, kind, witty and not fond of any kind of drug. Full-figured is a plus.

The aliens is the right answer. That's common knowledge. :slap:

For me, she needs to be smart and of course good looking.

Not part of the dating scene at the moment but if I was:

--no young children (already advlt/moved out would be ok) and doesn't want any or more children
--similar sense of humor a must.
--considerate but not politically correct
--more rational/practical than emotional/impulsive
--agnostic or atheist (nothing against the opposites, but couldn't be married to it)
--don't care about riches/fancy jobs, but do care about stability & predictability (not a constant "job hopper")
--not very tied to family strings, if that makes sense. I'm not a 'visit the families every week" sort of person. At all.

I will date someone if given a large sum of money to do so.

Then, after that one date, I will politely ask them to leave so I can spend my new money.

Dating? As long as they're attractive and are interested then I'd date them.

I want someone that's reasonably attractive, reasonably intelligent, and interested in something off-kilter. It doesn't matter if that off-kilter subject is knitting, archaeology, or old victorian-era machines, but I'd like to have a conversation that's more than small-talk and me rambling. We can trade off, can't we?

If you can find one that charges a huge sum to not let you touch them, sure.

This man's got a point. Not many dates end in a way that the profession of them would be needed.

No children. Maybe one day I'll meet someone who's absolutely amazing and I'll be able to overlook the fact that he has kids, but it's definitely a major obstacle for me.

House broken, potty trained and usually well behaved in public and company, and my son as well...

You would never, ever have to feel threatened or in any way unsafe from anything or anyone while you were in my company.

I spit, shine, cook, clean.. what can I say, I'm a former marine.

..also part time crappy poet.

That they would actually care to reciprocate my affection towards them. Gonna be that single old man in that creepy house down the block yelling at kids to get off his [censored] lawn.

Brunette or red-head. Smart. Funny. Witty. Charming. Masochist. Submissive tendencies. It keeps getting weirder from here.
