So what are your thoughts on The Vampire Lords Appearance?

What you guys need to understand is this vamplord some are being up in arms about aren't exactly described before, they aren't violating anything, no more than the Quad Tusked Mammoths or Mother wisps, relax...THAT ISN'T ALL THAT'S THERE.

Well hell, dragon flight looks ridiculous too, imo. When I think of a creature soaring through the sky, I don't exactly think of dragons. Dragons definitely seem like they'd have to flap constantly just to stay airborne.
Dragons fly with magic.

Yes because clearly bats and mist are practically the same thing, as are Valenwood and Skyrim.
Yes because turning to vapor doesn't sound completely far-fetched as turning into a bat .

Dracula turned to a bat and mist. It wouldn't be far-fetched to turn into a bat. Now, in my opinion, I would of prefer turning into a regular big bat. Not a giant one.

As I've said before in other threads, it's not about the vampires themselves, but the message such decisions send.
Skyrim HAD vampires: the Volikhar. Come time for a TES title though, they're suddenly missing. Yes there's vampires named Volikhar, but they act nothing like them.
Meanwhile some strain of vampire that conveniently looks like vamps from a popular movie pop up, and these get their own DLC.

It's called selling out. The existing TES lore is being neglected whereas an idea perceived to be popular with the general population is being forced into TES with a crowbar.

Somehow i get the feeling that they were inspired by Castlevania lords of shadow.(which isnt a bad thing)The game had great art design.

Added a picture of the Castlevania Vampire in the OP

I think everyone here that is complaining about someone else's work before actually experiencing the end-product is an ignorant jack ass.

That's my opinion about this forum.

Also, I am indifferent to vampire lords. If they please me (alive or dead) once the DLC is out, then I will make a decision. Also, they look fine.

Edited to avoid unecessary censorship of a word taught to schoolchildren in the 3rd grade. lol

Finally! Some SENSE! I hate when people bash yet they havent even tried it.

I was livid when I heard the DLC was going to be about vampires. But now I've changed my mind. This looks awesome and I think the VL's look great. My earlier opinion was based on the stock vampires of Skyrim. But these are cool.

The appearance of the wings are fine. Yes, a little undersized. Huge batwings with poison on the tips of the sharpened wing bones would have been cool but I'm sure we'll all manage to muddle through without them. At least they don't spin in rapid circles like a hummingbird. That would have been hilarious/terrible.

There is something that just came to my mind.Do you guys think they will have a female version of the vamp lord with briasts?..Like the beast form of Carmilla from Castlevania lords of shadow.I don't think they have/would/will.So they are basicly genderless or just equally ugly, fearsome both male and female?! :bunny:
Showing bare briasts in a game in america is a no go i guess or it would make the game advlt content

Though the dragons don't look like they could realistically fly, they do (IMO) present a decent computer game representation of dragons and look pretty good flying about. It's just disappointing Bethesda now seem to have tried to imagine what Underworld films would look like if they were made by Ed Wood.

As long as they aren't floating, I think the Vampire Lords look decent enough. Too overtly evil for my tastes, and far too Underworld, but they look well animated.

The wings are too small for flight though and they look silly just floating in the air.

Your overall statement is fine, and I don't think my comment was geared towards you, I see alot of this "Vamploard is breaking lore" by people who haven't stepped foot into the lore section. yeah I have an issue with the suddenly Missing Volikars too but people are missing the overall theme here....I dunno about selling out, I mean why couldn't it be that one of the Devs won the contest for putting their model recreate into an Expansion?

Thank god this game wasn't made when Arthur Fonzerelli from Happy Days was considered the [censored]. Otherwise we'd have a bunch of random greasers in leather jackets running around the northern tundra landscape of Skyrim.

Who knows? They made female werewolf models for Skyrim, but it never made it in the game.

If you can be one then it would make me actually consider vampirism...if they add vamp lords i'd better be able to turn were bear, especially since im the harbinger so i should be the strongest "were" creature

I can sort of understand them scratching female models in werewolf form. I'm no zoologist, but I can't tell the difference between a male and female wolf (or most other animals for that matter) at a glance.

If they really are going to include different models for werewolves depending on races, I really hope they don't go overboard with it. Slight differences in physical build or hair color would be nice, but I hope we don't get something along the lines of blonde werewolves for Altmers or tiger stripped ones for Khajiit.

On topic though, I do hope there are female versions of the Vampire Lords.

I agree on the werewolves...
And for the vamps i hope they made a female version.I don't see any reasons not to make/include a female version of the vamp lord...
