What game lore do you find most interesting?

Isn't Warhammer a game also? Sorry if I sounded silly if it isn't just a game
It is mainly a tabletop game, that's why I said "if this does not only include video games."
There are some video games as well though, so I guess it counts no matter how you look at it.

Oni's lore. That game was entirely awesome. R.I.P. indie Bungie. :(

The new retconned necrons are LOL. They aided the Space Marines in fighting someone, and they have trade networks now. Some eldrich horror, more like well demenoured grandfather who just woke up froma nap and is picking up his job where it left off. They went from awesome to lame in one book. Disgraceful.

I was not aware of this...

Oh and they beat the C'tan and enslaved them putting them in boxes or something and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6-rQ6Jay6w They also regret being turned and tricked into becoming necrons, so now their lord's are looking for a way to give them all skin again. Also they got personalities, and different factions of necrons all based on the respective lords personality. The only remnants of the old lore are the sleeper necrons who didn't wake up or don't have any personality left to wake up. This tiny minority is the only thing left of what we typically know of necrons. It's all in the codex, so depressing how happy and good everything got.

I'm...aware of Guild Wars lore, to a degree, at least as far as Prophesies goes. Never really got into it; even if it was interesting, MMOs don't really lend themselves well to getting into the world.

I don't play Guild Wars anymore, but was just wondering if any lore changed in it.

All the grimdark of 40k was the draw of it's lore, sad that this happened.

Fallout and Dragon Age both have interesting lore, I think. Fallout is, although sci-fi-y, quite close to home, and is an eerie parallell reality that could have been our own. Dragon Age have a really interesting take on Elves and Magic, which is quite unlike anything else I've seen in fantasy games.

For me, the Elder Scroll series is one hell of a trip in terms of lore. Guild Wars isn't far behind.

I don't play Guild Wars anymore, but was just wondering if any lore changed in it.
They are adding more right now. The Wind of Change is the recent "playable" one so far as it is one of the side story (along with War in Kryta) that bridge Guild Wars to Guild Wars 2. Oh, and there are mentions that there are books like that from Elder Scroll series IN Guild Wars 2!

I honestly didn't find the Elder Scrolls lore very interesting, though that might have been because I played Oblivion and they just hurl you into it.

Dragon Age is the only (VG) fantasy universe I take seriously. BW's skill in inverting fantasy clichés is absolutely spectacular. However, I detest Dragon Age II to the core.

Was going to mention this as well. Dragon Age lore is probably at the top of my list, but Dragon Age II didn't cause me to instantly hate the series and story like half three-thirds of the internet and ban its existence from my mind.. I still enjoy reading Codex entries and the like from time to time in both games.

I would say Fallout Lore is also pretty interesting, especially pre-war. Deus Ex and Mass Effect have pretty decent lore surrounding them too. Can't think of many others that I feel like mentioning.

You need to dig to find the good metaphysical stuff, CHIM, the Godhead, The Brass God, Anu and Padomay.

The Tsaesci are the best thing ever, vampiric snake men that eat you out of existence and take your form.
