Phew, where to start..there are just too many things i would like to change/add.

Werewolves and vampire are weak and broken.I would add a skill tree for werewolves and vampire to feed while in combat..drain health and restore your own with it.
And i want a real first person view.
I could go on and on...these are just some example

The killcam may be nice to some but I would prefer a toggle to turn it off if you wish. For players like me who prefer first person view and to "become" the character while playing, it's a total immersion breaker. I don't want to see a third person view of my arrow hitting someone, nor do I want to see a third person view of my finishing blow with the sword.

Personally, I would want it off even in third person. I find it offensive as it glorifies killing someone.
Yes, it's war and killing is inevitable in the game but there are limits IMO. I have done some of the dungeons and even the sepulchre without killing anyone with one of my characters, he only kills other humanoid characters when attacked or when the storyline demands and tries to remain unseen as much as possible. The Falmer are TOO easy to sneak past though, I know they are blind but surely they are not deaf as well.

The ability to build my own house, as well as purchasable homes in the minor cities. Other than that, the game is fantastic!

No essential NPCs - greater repercussions for your actions. Killing someone changes/opens more quests/new characters and closes old ones. Also a lot more variation in terms of weapons, armour, dialogue options etc.

A crouching position like in :fallout:

An option to leave Shadowmere "parked" when he's not being used.

A doctor that does facial reconstruction for people who are never satisfied with their look… including war paint.

More war paint… Full body war paint, can act like tattoos or something.

Deeper storyline for the Dark Brotherhood.

Less NPC's that are "immortal."

reverse pickpocketing explosives. =)

I would want to have more impact on politics, say like you'll help a faction so far then turn on them with another rival faction.

"six" with your wife in bed like in New Vegas. lolol

Also in the beginning, Wood Elves should automatically be able to be cannibals without the ring of Namira.

I have more in my head, but I'm tired.

Argonian children and Khajiit would be nice. Also, more beast races npcs and more marriage options for these races.

Having children of your own from a marriage would be good too. There could also be some interesting combinations - Argonian/Kajiit mixed kids would be an interesting result, imagine a furry lizard or a scaly cat :)

  • Attributes back in
  • Proper character creation back in
  • Skills such as athletics, acrobatics and climbing in
  • Much slower character progression, so you don't become rich and all-powerful for hundreds of hours
  • Far less emphasis on perks when it comes to skill progression
  • Less level-scaling when it comes to enemies, shop inventories, treasure, etc.
  • Much tougher, but slightly less frequent dragons
  • A complex, realistic-style combat system similar to Mount & Blade, with no cinematic crap like finishers
  • No forced 3rd-person at any time during the game
  • Darker and less linear dungeons
  • A traditional style parchment map in game
  • An ordinary compass with no markers at all
  • No hand-holding features in general
  • No essential NPCs (or at least nowhere near as many)
  • A less cinematic intro that doesn't immediately throw you into the main questline
  • A much larger gameworld (x2 at least) even if the added size is just generated wilderness areas
  • Longer faction questlines with a more believable sense of progression
  • Mostly text-based dialogue with voice acting only for greetings / world ambience (like Morrowind)
  • More dialogue options
  • More unique items (visually unique, not just enchanted). They don't all need to be super swords of awesomeness. Even mediocre unique items can be fun to collect
  • Greater creature/enemy variety
  • Visible feet in 1st person
  • Beast legs for Argonians / Khajiits
  • More meaningful consequences for choices / actions
There's a lot more, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

*sigh* Poor Bethesda...some of these would've put Skyrim into development purgatory, just for being too work-intensive on the coders' parts. And some are just bad ideas (text-based dialogue? This is 2012, not 1998.)

Personally, if I could add just one thing, it'd be a more fluid world. I play on PS3, and like most other console players and even some people on lower-end PC's, my load times are absolutely horrendous, and I have to deal with it every time I enter an area. If there was some way to tie most of the smaller areas directly to the game world (houses to overall cities, dungeons to the relevant cell, etc.) it would make the game infinitely better.

Text-based dialogue has several advantages:

- It allows for a lot more content
- It's a hell of a lot easier to modify
- It leaves a lot more to the player's imagination

And as I said, you'd still have partial voice acting for greetings and world ambience, so it really wouldn't harm immersion much (no more so than NPCs spouting out the same sentences over and over again, like in Skyrim).

But I guess this generation is full of impatient kids who would look at a piece of written dialogue and find it overwhelming. Reading? Nope. They need to be spoon-fed.

I personally MUCH prefer voiced dialogue. We have some excellent dialogue in Skyrim. True, I'd rather they simply greeted us as we walked past, and said a full line of dialogue when you spoke to them, but most, if not all characters have unique dialogue. Speak to them a few times and you'll hear some very interesting stuff. Characters are very interesting when you get to know them, and in this day and age, voiced dialogue is almost a must.
