Why is it when you put items into a chest, cupboard etc everything is in a nice categorized format(weapons, Armour, potions etc)but when you go to retrieve an item its in a big jumbled mess? Can this be fixed? For consoles, I am aware of mods for the PC.

I'd love to see the NPCs have more generic things to say. It's okay to blend in, NPCs, you won't be forgotten. Just talk less like action figures, please. I already know their actiontastic eight phrases that are said if you stab them or hug them.

More options as far as hoods go. Maybe some black ones that are more mysterious looking. Maybe ones that actually have a mouth hiding mask(I tried the DB hoods that claim to have a mask and they don't even work on a dark elf. I understand why they don't work on Khajiit and Argonians, but men and mer should be able to have the mask over their mouth.) or just put in a better variety of non-armor clothing. I'm fine with what is in the vanilla game, but more options would be nice.

Pants with no shirt for rich people... Because the posh sometimes just wants to show off.

I can have higher jumping height? Please!

Arrow tag... For the advlt NPCs only. Healers must be around during this game because knees will be arrow'd.

Also goblins, minotaurs, ogres, lichs, real ghosts etc that were in previous titles.

Ugh... Oblivion turned me off minotaurs. After levelling up my character beyond a certain point they were about the only enemies I'd come across, in both caves and in the outside world. Not only is that obviously stupid, but it became so unbearable that I quit playing Oblivion altogether because of it. It was one thing to deal with all of the Oblvion gates. Then once I did that the only thing I ran into in the wild were damn minotaurs... so I could never enjoy the beautiful landscape. I loved the ghosts, goblins, and ogres though... just no minotaurs please.

yea some of you guys are really just never going to be happy with anything you get, you want text conversations?..... its not about being too lazy to read but just its more realistic because in the real world people verbally talk to each other and dont hand each other pieces of paper. and no kill cams because in the real world you cant go to 3rd person? not all the kill cams go to 3rd person in the first place and why wouldnt you want to see the character you made kill something in a cooler way? there was someone saying they didnt like this because they didnt like killing people...... dude you had to kill them in the first place to enable the kill cam.

anyway i would wanna see some boats and fishing put in. maybe a fishing questline where you gatta catch a certain amount of fish or something. also same thing but with hunting, then they could add a way to open up your own tent and sell what you got. if they could add a way for there to be alot more people in the cities like in oblivion the npc's would come over to your shop buy whatever they need and every now and then youd get a strange customore who had a quest for you. also competition in the market to the point where you would piss off other hunter/fisherman and they would try to do something to get you out of the way. and if they add boats definatly some pirate stuff. you could be a smuggler and get a bounty on your head or get into battles with other pirates/law enforcement people.

basically what i want is more jobs than chopping wood and stuff like that. they could really make it so you would never have to touch the main quest at all and still have a crazy game

If they were done well they might be able to sort of fit into Skyrim. Maybe it would work if they had real shaggy fur. Maybe not... I miss the ghosts. The ghosts in skyrim that you can decapitate are pretty stupid. I remember waking up in oblivion to find out the dark brotherhood had sent a shade to attack me. Also the fact it gave silver swords a purpose. Goblins looked great in the Game jam. I was also thinking about bringing in bears with no voice box.

If you want fishing stick to world of warcraft. It would get boring fast and implementing a viable way of catching the fish would be very difficult.

it needs to be fixed. BUT ON PC AS WELL! i hate it when people say that consoles should get a certain bugfix or feature, yet PC users can just mod it.
think of it like this:
1. some PC users don't mod.
2. it could be called a bug, so bethesda has to fix it. by your logic, there are a huge pile of bugs that don't have to be fixed on PC, just because the "Unofficial Skyrim Patch" mod fixes a couple hundred issues.
3. mods can cause crashes and corrupted saves
4. saying something that could has to be on all 3 platforms should ony go on two is unfair. i can understand xbox getting Kinect voice commands (as the xbox has that built-in when you use a Kinect. altough i'm sure it couldl be implemented into PC and PS#, but it would be a lot harder), and PC getting mods (because getting a mod system for 360 would be a major headache, and Micro$oft wouldn't allow it. i doubt sony would either)
i'm not trying to start something here, i'm just saying that there is a lot pof rage about the whole timed DLC thing, so if Xbox and PS3 get a load of bugfixes and the PC users get a messsage saying "haha, you can t get it this easily! download this mod!", there will be trouble. andd a lot of it. i would bet $500

how about a faction for vampires, different armors and weapons, maybe a questline were you wipe out the remnants of the imperials or stormcloaks im tired of not being able to wipe out those little stormcloak camps, bring in more variety of wild beasts like rabbid werewolves, ogres, the dreaded cliffracer. Maybe bring goblins into the game and have like a falmer goblin fight for territory, like your exploring a ruin or a cave and you see these guys just go at it to the death or perhaps they work together and raids become more frequent and violent on caravans and they are starting to be seen in the towns at night and throughout a series of missions to put a stop to it you learn more about the falmer like who knows a hierarchy system or something this would be interesting even without adding goblins to the mix. none of this stuff would be real hard to do
I like it. Let it be done!

I would completly overhaul the physics system, right now it seems kind of VERY floaty. Good physics really help in one of the areas that Skyrim failed in: Immersion.
I found an indie game (It's called Overgrowth in case you're wondering) made by FOUR guys that has much better physics than Skyrim, and Skyrim was made by hundereds of people.
I would also make the combat system actually good:

1. Blocking should stop you from taking damage rather than slightly reducing it slighly.

2. If you slash somebody with a sword make them at least stagger a bit.

3. Make more than 5 attack animations as well as counter attacks and disarms.

4. When an enemy is on the ground begging for mercy make an option to spare them.

5. Make so your sword can pass through an enemy rather than just swipe in front them.

My biggest gripe would be the lack of dialogue options. For me, dialogue might be the most effective form of character impression in an RPG.

You mentioned somewhere that lockpicks should only be sold by thieves. Well if that's the case then locked chest in dungeons should have a bash open option or a spell to unlock them. I don't quite agree with just making lockpicks for thieves.

You obviously did not read the entire thing, as I clearly addressed that.

I need a reason to care more about NPCs, how about making specific quests for the housecarls? that allows them to explain who they are and how they came to be housecarls, more meaningful interaction

I was very excited when I found out Skyrim would have a marriage option but it was a real let down,

that said I still love the game

I personally MUCH prefer voiced dialogue. We have some excellent dialogue in Skyrim. True, I'd rather they simply greeted us as we walked past, and said a full line of dialogue when you spoke to them, but most, if not all characters have unique dialogue. Speak to them a few times and you'll hear some very interesting stuff. Characters are very interesting when you get to know them, and in this day and age, voiced dialogue is almost a must.
I would like to have my response voiced too. Dialogue is a very one-sided conversation when you respond with a written text only, have the option to select the text and have your character actually say it.

It opens up a few possibilities for voice modelling at the same time as creating your characters. Basic male/female voices can be used with the specific racial accent with audio filters to alter the voice to meet the players preference. Allow sliders to raise/lower pitch of the voice and add a huskiness to it as well during character creation. Now your character not only looks but speaks more like you want them to. It would definitely be a first for games but would also set the future for gaming.

actually, the sims 3 has a slider for pitch and 3 voices to choose from per gender, and they change as you age. luckily, this means that it is possible for bethesda to implement it. but it would take FOREVER to record and implement them all

  • Proper character creation
  • More large quests for the people playing a good (not evil) character.
  • Maybe do something about the smithing (it is a pain for those who did not exploited it before 1.5 came)
  • More special horses like Shadowmere and Frost.
  • Fix blocky and flickering shadows.
I don't have any other problems with the game

The difference being that the sims only make garbled sounds depicting a conversation. To actually have your character say something intelligable would be a first. I don't think it would really take long to record and implement all the resonses in Skyrim. 2 voice actors, one male and one female could probably do all the players responses in a single day, maybe two days allowing for out-takes. The only real problem is the accents for each of the races, they would all have to be done separately. The sliders would do the rest to allow the voice to be altered to suit the players preference.

Creative Audio had presets to make voices change that came with their soundcards, even making them sound like The Chipmunks. Changing the pitch doesn't need to speed up or slow down the audio speed, we are not back in the days of the 33rpm vinyl recordings running at 45rpm now. Sound Forge had all sorts of audio filters that could do some crazy stuff with sounds so adding a husky element or even a stutter isn't hard now.

Ever done the first 'proper' dark brotherhood contract and completed the optional part?
Ever completed a questline and spoken to the guards?
Ever had a merchant die and have his/her family take over?

I'm not saying that the consequences 'system' is perfect, but there are consequences.

Small things like usable lanterns, greater variety of chests, more clothes and armours, more monsters, etc. would be great.

As for the things that would require a greater change to the game design I would welcome some form of terrain scaling for each of the classes. Limited forms of rock climbing, grappling hooks, and levitation spells would be nice. Specific rock faces for hand climbing, buildings for grappling hooks, and a time restricted levitation spell wouldn't break the game I think :) And as for the those who would bring up closed cities as an argument against these ideas I would suggest .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7g9WjcGdxuM.

ah, i see your point. i meant that it could be looked into, to get an idea of where to start. i would love sliders and stuff to change my voice, altough i like the female altmer combat, thu'um and damage sounds "hyah!" Hrh! "ah!" "Fus... RoDah!"
and adding this to the CK would make voice acting a lot easier for mooded NPCs. i'm planning a big mod, but i need a lot of different voices, and they all have to sound like altmer
