What do you rename your items when enchanting?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:39 am

Either something that sounds appropriate("Furtive boots" for my boots with a Fortify Sneak enchantment on them), or I pull from mythology if I can think of an appropriate item to name it after(my sword is always named Fragarach, for example; and you're way awesome if you know where it comes from without googling).

Something Celtic keeps popping into my head, but I've been up waaaaay to long.

If your doing one at a time as soon as you choose the enchantment it locks in the level of enchant. It just svcks if your doing 2 or 3 at a time

I'm boring, so I name my gear so that it shows up together in my inventory or quick menu.

My character is named Sir jobob, so his regular gear is:

Sir jobob's Helm
Sir jobob's Armor
Sir jobob's Gauntlets
Sir jobob's Boots
Sir jobob's Warhammer

Then I have my enchanted boosts that I use in certain situations:

Blacksmith's Hat
Blacksmith's Gloves
Blacksmith's Apron
Blacksmith's Ring
Blacksmith's Necklace
Blacksmith's Pickaxe

Alchemist's Hat
Alchemist's Ring

etc.

...It makes it a lot easier to quickly switch between my smithing gear in town, and my questing gear in the field.

Eragon's not that obscure. I name my Orc "Barzul."
Eragon's not, the language is though.

Ebony war axe of electricity called- "MageBane"
Ring of gills

I guess I'm not original since i have a Daedric mace named MageBane as well - electricity damage and absorbs magicka lol

i have tons of stuff, most have practical names, i.e. my Daedric armor just starts with a lowercase "d." so they are in order (d.Armor, d.hands, d.Feet, etc)

My favorite named item (which i dont even use anymore) is my Daedric Bow with absorb health and Fire Damage called Hell Sniper.
