Named a glass dagger 'The Fart Shard of Zeus'. That's really the only one that's off the wall. I have a ring and necklace for everything. Weapons and armor can be improved 27% better/alchemy is 27% more powerful , they are both called the blacksmith's agent. I have a ring and necklace called pick and buy with lockpicking is 43% better/ prices are 27% better. I have a ring and necklace for when I'm getting close to the weight limit, it's called the ring of power and life. The life part is health so I can be protected brining my stuff to a merchant, carry 37 more/67 points added to health.

I sword that gives me 32 to health when used is called 'blessed by a broken heart".

It's nice having a ring and necklace for eveything
Oh and also I have blacksmith clothes and black gloves that make it so I can upgrade really high damage and armor when put with my necklace and ring. I have a iron dagger that has close to 100 damage and a glass bow that's close to 200 from using those enchanting items. I didn't realize at first that with smithing enchantments and potions I can upgrade my gear way past the first legendary numbers.

I open up the Oblivion Collector Edition "A Pocket Guide To The Empire", and use ALL of the cities as names for various weaponry and armor.

Rimmen Warhammer, Mournhold Daedric Armor, Helm of Cloudrest, Sharnhelm Waraxe, etc. This way there is continuity to the storyline, as well as a distinct way to alphabetically arrange items for quicker find within the favorites as well. I can keep similar types of items together or separate them at will by putting them higher or lower on favorites list alphabetically.

Overall, it's simple, fast and completely appropriate. It also leaves a lot of room to name other weapons and armor your 'favorite' names (made up names you really want later for the best gear / end game gear)- whatever they may be.)

My guess is that it's from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves when the Sheriff of Nottingham says he want's to cut out Robin's heart with a spoon. It's one of the funnier lines in that movie.

I was going to say the cartoon "The Tick"

OT: Usually nothing fancy.... I have a Ebony Sword with stupidly (game glitched and gave me higher then I should) high Shock enchant I named "Magebane"

but usually I name things according to their purpose.

I make sets of gear for various tasks... eg; I have a full "Crafters" set of garments giving me +100% alchemy and smithing. and my own custom "thieves" set with various boosts to lockpicking, stealth, loot carry, etc.

Rings and amulets all start with "Ring of ..." or "Amulet of ..." The rings I even prefix with a period ".Ring of Destruction" for example... placing it at the top of my inventory list. Amulets naturally follow. This makes it easy for me to swap rings and amulets for various needs.

Soul Seeker: Ebony bow with soul trap.

Arc Angel: Steel hand-axe with 25 hp shock and 20 absorb stamina

Stugfugley's Battle Bonce: My characters plate steel helmet with 50 magicka and 50 magicka regen.

The Horn-ed Beaver Hat: Horned helmet with 50 magicka and 50 magicka regen.

Ring of the Axeman: Silver ring with 36% two-handed bonus, and @25 Heavy Armour.

Plus I've got sundry other rings and necklaces with various bonus's on them.

Well, considering how terrible the UI system is all of my items are AA Something. AA Archery Gloves, AA Alch Smith Gloves. Now the items I use are ALWAYS at the top of my list. I favorite them also just so I can easily see them. I know everything underneath that, I can drop or sell.

In Oblivion, I enchanted a ring with a fire enchantment, and used to leave it lying around places to see who would pick it up and put it on. Was an excellent assassination tool...I kind of miss being able to do that in Skyrim.

Cool. I was at the jarls place palace of kings in windhelm and I dropped about ten rings and necklaces I had enchanted because I was trying to sort out my inventory and enchant more powerful versions when suddenly a guy came up to me and said I noticed you had dropped something would you mind if I take. I said no and he walked away saying what a shame I would of liked to have those items. I wonder if he would of put them on.

If you want to try it go to the area where the guy sells spells and the arcane enchanter is and drop and item right by the door in the hallway.

I haven't renamed(It's hard on a PS3), but I should have for my two Skyforge Steel Swords. They have different enchants on them, and I get them confused.

Nothing, because the enchanting interface is horrible and it keeps resetting the name everytime I try. :( (Largely because my rebinded keys aren't listed as such - which always confuses me).
Although when I do get it to work, I often go for nostalgia - e.g. Vilverin Glass sword. :D

Either something that sounds appropriate("Furtive boots" for my boots with a Fortify Sneak enchantment on them), or I pull from mythology if I can think of an appropriate item to name it after(my sword is always named Fragarach, for example; and you're way awesome if you know where it comes from without googling).

I've only renamed one, since most of that I find enchanted is better than I would be able to produce on my own. At some point I'll up my Smithing with daggers and disenchant all the good items I have, and custom out a whole new line.

The one I made and named is the Ring of the Swordsman (+17% to one-handed attacks).

Just like the title says. I wanted to have some fun and hear all the crazy named people name there items when enchanting gear.

I have a ring and necklace that has 40% pick pocket/ 40% sneak names Sneaky, lame right? I limit myself to what I rename items because it all has to be in order. So when I'm in my menu and need to make a quick change it's not a headache finding things. I have over 50 renamed items but honestly they are really generic that's why I would like to hear yours to get inspired and to see if anyone has some funny crazy names.

I've made almost that exact necklace with a 45% enchant for both; I called it, 'The Misdirection.'

Also have a claymore from a mod that has 28pts absorb stam and 28pts absorb magic named, 'Wrath of William Wallace'
Another claymore from a mod that is an eastern Dwemer longsword that has 28pts absorb stam and 28pts shock named, 'Automaton's Bane'
And a elven warhammer that has 28pts absorb stam and 1 sec soul trap called, 'Eagle's Requiem'
