What do you rename your items when enchanting?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 5:41 am

Just like the title says. I wanted to have some fun and hear all the crazy named people name there items when enchanting gear.

I have a ring and necklace that has 40% pick pocket/ 40% sneak names Sneaky, lame right? I limit myself to what I rename items because it all has to be in order. So when I'm in my menu and need to make a quick change it's not a headache finding things. I have over 50 renamed items but honestly they are really generic that's why I would like to hear yours to get inspired and to see if anyone has some funny crazy names.

I named my knife "Spoon". Only one in a million would get that reference.

I named my legendary daedric greatsword with a fire enchantment "sunsunder". Generally all of my other stuff is pretty boring and unispired e.g. "frost mace" or "boomstick" for a fire one.

My guess is that it's from Robin Hood Prince of Thieves when the Sheriff of Nottingham says he want's to cut out Robin's heart with a spoon. It's one of the funnier lines in that movie.

Found a Scimitar washed up on the shore of the Sea of Ghosts. Upgraded it, enchanted it with soul trap, and dubbed it "Blade of the Depths". Then realized I missed the opportunity to wield "Cthulu's Sword".

My personal Blades Sword, with an electricity enchantment, is "Kveykva". And my Glass Greatsword with a magicka damage enchantment is "Sverd abr Skulblaka".

If anyone gets the very obscure references, I'll be impressed.

Awesome! I wondered if anyone else named their things after D2 items, I rename every item (including my character) after Diablo lore and unique items. They look nice on weapon racks that way :)

^ I had to google it, but I knew I had seen them somewhere before. Part of me wonders if that was the inspiration for the dragon language mechanics.
