What do you think skyrim is missing ?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 1:13 pm

Only thing that I would really want RIGHT NOW Is the ability to download and use mods from PC developers. Things like houses, dungeons, and all new locations help expand this game and make it even more exciting. I would love it if Bethesda reviewed highly rated and well developed mods and compiled a list of acceptable mods that would could download as DLC on the Xbox.

What i really want are spears, being able to rush someone and impaling them and turning around to throw your spear at another enemy would be great. With the new ability to attack from horse back in Dawnguard you'd even be able to do a jousting like attack.

what I am tired of is that I prefer the HERO style of play and everything in the game pushes you to just go out and steal and murder people.
There have been a couple rescue missions but not enough nor where they hard enough. I'm hoping Dawnstar has more rescues from vamps or something.
I've run out of things to do.

Overall depth.

Skills
Attributes
Spell creations and our old spells
Variety in weapons and armor/clothing
Interesting quest, deep and engaging quest, the quest as is are to short
The cities are to small
To few factions to join

What he said plus:

Fast travel via carriages would be enough.

They could have put more work into bard's collage - give it a proper meaning. I love bards in fantasy games - as a combat style. The game have the needed skill tree's to create somewhat of a bard, but since they actually put in a bards collage they could have implemented a few other things. Like a non-combat tree called Entertaining or something.

No level scaling - being able to go where you please at any point in the game becomes more interesting if the content don't scale with you. Makes the world feel more dangerous.

Atheletics and Acrobatics. I would like to build some characters very athletic.

Combat could have been more advanced with todays technology. Same with pick pocketing, RNG? in 2012?
Their older games where more in depth so simple combat design, rng etc didn't matter. Skyrim is less deep and has got pretty much no learning curve, so they should have improved upon other things instead.

I think to many games are about you being the hero, chosen one and what not. I would like games to spit in my face and tell me im scum for once

To start with at least, and then you can go build up your reputation they way you want.

i could go for that if the entertaining tree was things like juggling, tactile mastery or fire manipulation. stuff that could complement the skills you use in combat.

It's missing the ability to craft or Smith arrows. That would be so helpful and I don't think game breaking.

Oh and crafting shouldn't be the best way to get powerful gear, takes away from the joy of finding new gear. Loot is a big part of RPG's IMO.

I've been playing Dragon's Dogma for a while, and despite being lacking in NPCs and voice acting, it beats Skyrim over the head with its combat. The simple bosses are more difficult than Alduin. So I would say combat is missing

-underwater combat

-GRAPPLING HOOKS!
-MOAR BOWS!
-craftable arrows
-actually interesting side quests
-jumping height enchantments
-throwing knives
-sea monsters (ONLY WITH UNDERWATER COMBAT!!)
-some kind of hairdresser or what not to change your hairstyle

i could go on with this list forever, but i'm too lazy. ^^

Press ctrl+f. Then type spear or spears in the box, that has shown up. Guaranteed result people will write that.

I wish spell making would make a return not quite sure why they thought it would be good to take that out. Oh and I love the real carriages mod on my pc version of the game and kinda wish they would add it to the xbox since that's where I do all my serious playthroughs (Since on the pc I tend to get carried away with mods to the point where it really just breaks the lore)

Well, I thought an appearance changer would be nice, and now they're adding it to Dawnguard. I guess the only other thing I would think that would improve the overall game experience is a relook at the Destruction spells and how they fare late-level.

A toggleable legend for the map(show only caves or forts etc...) and/or a text search (god I miss Daggerfall's map system....)

Let me have one hand 'readied' ...If I want to recast my candlelight spell, there's really no need for me to unsheathe chillrend now, is there???

Deconstruct weapons/armor etc to salvage a % of the raw materials

Fishing. real fishing with a rod and/or net

Skinned animal corpses when you...you know...SKIN em?

Meaningful 'fast travel' (see daggerfall's system)

Banks

.....many more

Things I'm missing:

- from Morrowind: our paperdoll having real interactions with its environment. If something happens in the sky, if someone passes by, if something falls on the floor, our character would actually look at them.

- from Oblivion: facial expressions. When npcs were not happy to see us, it showed on their face and they could actually smile at you if they were in the mood.

In Skyrim, everyone seems to be blind. (sigh)

I'm missing this very much but it does seem that I'm the only one, so I hope that the devs are also missing them, so that they once add them, even if the fanbase don't ask.
No you're not alone! ._. I've been obsessed about it since the game came out! I've tried to mod it in in million ways but no matter what I try it simply doesn't work ._.

It looks like being "dragonborn" comes with stupid neck paralysis...

The dragonborn also has eyes in his or her neck if you're playing as an Altmer.

The only thing I have wanted extra that has not been mentioned yet (as far as I know) is the ability to access your horses saddlebags.

A learning curve, yes there is none atm. A reason to theorycraft.

Basicly it's missing depth.
