A climactic ending to the Civil War missions and the civil actually having an effect on the world. (like dialogue)

There was also the fact that basically both sides of the quest was the exact same it was the lowest point in the quest.

Factions. Much like Oblivion, there are only four, plus a couple stub factions. The game is way better, so I don't feel cheated like I did with Oblivion, but I'd still like more factions, and intertwine their stories the way they were in Morrowind.

This question has a built in answer. You're assuming it's missing something.

Spell making as in Daggerfall, it was leagues more complicated than Oblivion, you could even spawn items. It was freaking amazing.

Weather physics too, I'm so sick of rain coming right through my roof like it's some slapped together shack.

Being able to enchant your weapons to the same strength as what you can find them in chest for. For example I found a Sword that could do 40 fire damage but even with my enchanting perks maxed for fire damage I can only enchant a sword to do 31 fire damage. It would be nice if a merchant died that you really liked shoping at would be replaced by a similar merchant or just a new one entirely (perhaps a relative to take over the business. Open your own shop or Rebuild Helgen and become Jarl.By Azura I killed The World Eater for Oblivions sake. The other Jarls are getting mad they keep catching me sitting on thier thrones.

"Your not as dumb as you look" various Jarls

I thinky most of all it lacks... a reason to care.

The story is bland and linear, there are no personal stakes in it and the main character doesn't even HAVE tangible personality. Okay you can "roleplay" any way you like but it's ALL IN YOUR HEAD. The game mostly doesn't care about what you do, npcs take you for granted, there is no way to even let them know your feelings and whatever few choices you have (and there are WAY too few!) hardly EVER have any impact on the world. Because the world doesn't care about you, it really only lets you look but isn't thrilled with touching.

If it were up to me (and it WASN'T) I would just let Alduin eat it up. Maybe the next kalpa would give me some reason to be worried about it...

Of course there are *exceptions* but that doesn't make it any better. It should be the other way around: the bland parts should be exceptions

All I really really really would love bethesda to give me just once... is a compelling story and ability to actually meaningfully (not just through "make believe") roleplay my character.

I'm not sure if its missing anything... I think its more of what can we add to Skyrim to make its better, Using the word missing implies that there was suppose to be something in Skyrim but its not there, therefore breaking the game.

I play XBox 360 only - so having certain mods would be nice - flight, better looking women, being able to re-marry, etc.

But as for the game:

I've played an archer for a while and I dont understand why as a blacksmith = I cant make my own arrows, why cant I make a dragon bow or other dragon weapons.
I can give clothes and things to followers but why not my own wife/husband? Doesnt make much sense to me.

I know the next DLC will enhance the werewolf and vampire perks - which is good if you like playing evil - but I dont enjoy those archtypes. I prefer to play the hero and keep looking for more missions like those. I'd love to see alot more rescue missions - save the damsel from the dragons lair - filled with lots of baby dragons on the way there or something.

I'd also like to see more puzzle dungeons or indiana jones style of dungeons - those are just fun for me. Alot of dungeons are just trudge through it - kill everything - take the treasure and variety from that every once in a while is really nice.

I think it would also be fun to find a dungeon that is entirely under water - each cave section is connected by filled water tunnels - but you can come up do a section and have to go back under water.

I also wish they would have put some REALLY bad guys - somewhere on the map - the kind of bad guys that fill up their keep with nasty followers - but the leader just continues to be tough - and if possible - escape to rebuild their keep elsewhere later. They could send assassin groups after you and other things.

stats, choice, consequnce, weapon types and materials, spell making, greaves, vampire clans, strong werewolves, application of lore, a cubic butt-load of spell effects, a few schools of magic, language skills (giantish would be so much better in skyrim), climbing, acrobatics, agility and pretty much everything TES has had before and could have and should been added in if beth focused on something other than the graphics (which are not even the best)

TES is a series and we should not lose things over time, we should gain things.
