What do you think skyrim is missing ?

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 2:50 pm

Zing...Add charactor development and emotional attachment to them as well.
Oh so much YES!

Maybe one day they will run out of things to create WAY too much hype around (cliffracers... I mean dragons!) and finally remember that they're supposed to be making roleplaying games?

The choices you make in quests should have a more dramatic affect on the world. For instance, after you restore the Thieves Guild to it's former glory you should see that reflected in the game world. Thieves lurking in the shadows in all the cities, stuff like that.

They should expand upon the story a bit... as it is lacking in it's current form.

Quests that are not uninteresting. Including the whole main quest.

All I miss from previous games is underwater combat and half of the Attributes.
I don't get why underwater combat isn't in Skyrim, it really makes no sense. Neither does the fact that you can damage ghosts with regular weapons now o_O
Sounds like subtle dumbing down.

-Cloth physics
-more than two types of robes (college and standard.... yay)
-less bland, unmoving robes (GIVE US THOSE VERLET SURFACES!)
-the ability to combine clothing and armour (like morrowind or dragons dogma(alhough this would be admittedly hard with the more intricate armour designs in SK))
-its about time Bethesda caught up with other RPGs in making interesting spells that aren't just bland projectiles with different textures that have relatively mundane effects (cant wait for vampire grip actually)
-give us back older, more interesting spells
-make giants actually interesting like they have potential to be (only male giants that walk around bonfires all day and shout mutely at you? really?)
-not that im unhappy with the number of creatures but, more variety would be appreciated (why were ogres taken out?!?!)
-a little more recognition for being the saviour/leader of almost everything
-ambient underwater dungeons

and to those who think Skyrims story and quests are bland and incoherent, how many other RPGs have you played lately?

Lots of good ideas but some are more complicated than expected. Hard to argue with a game like skyrim but the grass is always greener. Want what you don't have, you catch my drift. As for my opinion, the Arena (or fight club) was awesome and i miss it but I would also love some gambling or another way I could lose the millions I've amassed!

I started a new character on Oblivion today and in the starting dungeon alone I noticed lost features.

- Mortar and Pestle, being able to do alchemy on the go.
- Repair hammer. Why did Beth remove degradation?
- Hotkey for selected spell. It's much easier to hit "C" to cast a spell than it is in Skyrim. Especially for a sword and shield character *shudders*
- Picking a class/Creating a custom class. I don't care what anyone says, the Class system from previous games are far better than what Skyrim has (which is nothing).
- Attributes. Why Bethesda, why? Leveling up in Skyrim is just boring. Increase magicka health or stamina and that's it?

I could go on.

Oh ya and why did taverns honestly svck way more than they weere hyped to be? its SKYRIM! the same paltry few patrons every night who sit there and do nothing and listen to a bard play one of the only three songs in all of skyrim's song repertoire... no big bar crowds, drunks (beyond the standard town beggar), and regular tavern fights or anything

stats, choice, consequnce, weapon types and materials, spell making, greaves, vampire clans, strong werewolves, application of lore, a cubic butt-load of spell effects, a few schools of magic, language skills (giantish would be so much better in skyrim), climbing, acrobatics, agility and pretty much everything TES has had before and could have and should been added in if beth focused on something other than the graphics (which are not even the best)

TES is a series and we should not lose things over time, we should gain things.
This here is always my whole argument. Series are meant to be built upon not gutted.
People seem to forget that these games are sequels to a long running game series.
Spell creation on a Daggerfall level would be amazing.
Some of the spells would work from Daggerfall in Skyrim.

Armor that actually looks good on female characters since Forsworn armor is the only one now that is even somewhat attractive. I also want a Nights Eye enchantment and a Water Walking enchantment as well as underwater combat.

There are plenty of RPGs with better stories than Skyrim. Fallout: New Vegas, Arcanum, Planescape Torment...

Pretty much this.
Witcher can be added to that and I like the FF XIII's regardless what people say and they have. etter stories than this game. Fallout 3 also had a good story.
